Both were beautiful stones, liveoak Patty! Too bad the first one cracked. Don't feel too bad though. It's happened to all of us at least once. The pendant turned out great. I bet your sister loved it!

Sweet studio! You have all the tools and then some. I believe I have a little tool envy.

realrockhound just stirring the embers? I would say you gave the fire pit a good kick and we all get to watch the sparks fly haha. Gorgeous material and cab in the works, I can't wait to see it finished. Thanks tommy. Fingers crossed I can pull this off. Skip the the 3,000. Some material hates 3,000 and I guess fire obsidian is one of them. If you have an 8,000 wheel try that instead, but first go back down to your 1,200 and make sure all the scratches are out on that wheel.

Thanks. It’s also a complete pain in the arse to work. To even get the fire to show well, you need to take it right down to the layer. I’m talking like mm’s or less. The comes the challenge of following the wavy ass fire bar 😂 It will be fabulous when you are finished.

How exciting! Are you timing how long it takes for all the bubbles to stop?

Beautiful lights, Jason. You're so lucky! Even when I was in Alaska I never saw them.

Lee, I bought us snake gaiters for when we went out hounding at Rodeo Flats. Came in handy not because we saw any snakes, but they also protected against the cat claw and jumping cholla. Yep, I got me a bit of teddy bear when we were collecting crystals up north of Wickenburg, Elizabeth had to help me get them out and we didn't see the offending critter on the way out, possibly a long jumper. I can see where gaiters may be preferable, easy to take off and cool the sweaty calves. Having some packing tape in your vehicle is real handy if you happened to get ambushed by one. Pulls those suckers right out.

drocknut last I checked the Hassayampa was still running. I have been thinking of some snake boots, maybe more like engineer boots, but definitely not PYTHON boots. Y'all know what happens then... I always adored The Grass Roots. Golden Grass was my favorite album of theirs. Funny, a friend who I went to high school with is now playing bass and singing with The Grass Roots. Meet Mark Dawson. Scroll to about 27:58 for The River is Wide. This is on Facebook, but I don't think you have an account to watch it. I couldn't figure out how to embed it from there. fb.watch/k2-IDvhRF-/

Ahhh ok ok, makes sense. Someone told me to fill them with water, that just seems a bit extreme. My neighbor who is a longtime cowboy swears by walking in a creek in the boots then don't take them off until they dry. Supposed to make them form to your feet. Never tried it though since we are pretty short on creeks here...lol. Actually, Vince used to say the same thing.

Goats are the answer drocknut , they eat everything, or so I hear. Patty
I've heard that too but mom says no to a goat. Goats are funnier than hell, but smelly! I'm really allergic to them, so no goats for me, either, Diane.
