Ya know my first thought was, "He kept count" ! ?
I have to agree the forum wouldn't be the same without you.
Keep up the good work
Oh- and I adore that last cab - the contrast sprig through it, is a great composition on a nice shape.

Such a peaceful peaceful green. The last one looks like a boat and its reflection on a lake.

Congratulations! You do nice work You took a hohum slab and made some wowie-zowie cabs out of it. Photos are also exceptional. That’s real skill. Thanks!

jasoninsdCongratulations Jason! I echo the others, I always look forward to seeing your works and your comments. You do a great job with all you do, are helpful, and we can always count on you for a laugh. Those are some awesome cabs! You have them posted in order of my favorites from the bottom up, with the last as my favorite!

Great looking cabs Jason. The forum wouldn't be the same without you. Thanks Alex! It might be a littler "quieter"! LOL Ya know my first thought was, "He kept count" ! ?

Thanks Patty! What? You don't put a number on the back of each of your cabs...like they do on prints? LOL I wanted that "sprig" to end up dead center at the point...but it veered during the grind! (I mean...I meant for it to me off to the side like that! LOL) Such a peaceful peaceful green. The last one looks like a boat and its reflection on a lake. Thanks PS! I actually DO see the boat and reflection! Nice find on that one! Congratulations! You do nice work You took a hohum slab and made some wowie-zowie cabs out of it. Photos are also exceptional. That’s real skill. Thanks! Thanks Pat! I loved working these shapes with this material. It's not too hard...it's soft enough to easily work the curves. jasoninsd Congratulations Jason! Those are some awesome cabs! You have them posted in order of my favorites from the bottom up, with the last as my favorite! Thanks Ashley! I've always told people who come out to visit...I might not be great for helping find Fairburns...but I'm pretty good for comic relief! LOL I think I like the third one the "least" out of the four...but I think I'm in agreement with you that the last one is my favorite.

I am gobsmacked! Those are gorgeous! Thank you my friend! I wasn't overly excited when my sister said she was getting me this rock (awhile back) because I'd worked a couple other pieces of Gary Green in the past and I wasn't excited about the results I had gotten. However, they were some of the first pieces I'd ever worked...so results were a "little" different back then! LOL *I absolutely LOVE the word "gobsmacked"! I watch a lot of shows from the UK...and they are constantly using that word!

Well...that's what I'd be saying if I made a cabochon for every comment I've posted on RTH! I thought maybe I'd try to come up with some monumental thing to say in my 10,000th post...instead, I'll post some pictures of some cabochons I finished up today! LOL Gary Green, Freedom Jasper, or Larsonite...whichever name you prefer! (I prefer Gary Green!) As always, thanks for taking a gander...and thanks for putting up with me! Ya, I remember when you 1st joined......a little shy but confident......a gift for gab......and you still haven't stopped talking..........averaging, I'd guess, at least 400 posts a month........ ................Been a pleasure knowing you Jason from South Dakota.....!

Eh, they're ok. The cabs, not the posts. You do talk a lot, my friend...
🤪
Of course I'm kidding, the cabs are fantastic and of course I'm glad you're around!

Are a couple of those cabs my designs? 😂
Those honestly look killer. Some of the nicer GG I’ve seen. Especially with the elipso inclusion.

You really bring the material to life with your shape and pattern selections, Jason. The second cab is my favorite.

Great looking cabs Jason. The forum wouldn't be the same without you. I'll agree with that sentiment (actually both of those sentiments), it just wouldn't be the same without him here. 'course, he takes a little getting used to. But I wouldn't trade him for nothing! I think we'll keep him on the team, lol. After making 10K cabs, I would expect perfection like that! And he does great work, and takes very nice photos. Yeah, he's a keeper! jasoninsd, are you blushing yet? I can just envision your cheeks and ears turning red! ETA - did I mention yet how great those cabs are? Well, like Tony the Tiger 🐅 says, they're GRRREAAT!!!

I came up with those shapes. Here's a thread talking about making them: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/99342/french-curves-messing-new-shapesEh, they're ok. The cabs, not the posts. You do talk a lot, my friend... 🤪 Of course I'm kidding, the cabs are fantastic and of course I'm glad you're around! Thanks my friend! The only word I remember from 9th grade Spanish class is "callate" since my teacher was saying it to me every 10 minutes...which mean shut up! LOL Are a couple of those cabs my designs? 😂 Those honestly look killer. Some of the nicer GG I’ve seen. Especially with the elipso inclusion. You wish! LOL Thank you my friend! I've got some other slabs with better elipso examples. I'll get to them at some point! LOL

You really bring the material to life with your shape and pattern selections, Jason. The second cab is my favorite. Thank you SO much Gary! I know I've said it before, but one of the utmost favorite things about this entire hobby is picking out the pattern in the slab...and then trying to find the most appropriate shape for what I'm trying to capture. It's like a mini-puzzle...where there's no right or wrong...but there's good and gooderer! LOL
