You are as good with wrapping and cabbing as you are with the ladies Jason. They even like your backside lol. I can't help you with that one but I am very excited about my cabs. Greatly appreciate your talented efforts. Looking forward to distributing to favorite cousins, niece and main squeeze. The main Mama loves the Rio. James, I feel super blessed you trusted me with your material...and I'm beyond grateful that Mama likes at least one of them! I guarantee you there is NO chance of seeing me in any "tight jeans" contest any time soon! LOL Those wraps are absolutely stunning! I'm just learning the terminology, etc - is some of that glass? So so pretty. Thank you SO much! You got it! The first three are glass that JamesP (the person I wrapped these for) made! I am in LOVE with the looks of this glass! The fourth one is Rio Grande "Cobble" that JamesP collected...and the last two are Petrified Wood from Alabama that JamesP also collected! There's a couple threads on here about both of those...in fact there's one about his glass as well. "When I first started wrapping, I had a hard time finding pictures of the backsides as well. That's why I thought I'd take the time to take the pictures and post them. Just to try and help some people out..."
Thank you Jason,
Patty
You're welcome Patty. Great wraps. I can see some were a challenge. Thanks Beth! You know though...I really do like challenges...and I'm glad I have these under my belt now. I did learn a couple things when working them...so it was definitely a win! Jason, incredible! There's not one among them that I wouldn't be proud to show off. There are two that were extra-special to me--the sort of triangular one and the one below it. The wire just seemed to flow with the cut and pattern you were working with. But in all of them you balanced the odd shapes well, they are creative without being too much so, and each allowed the cab to shine. Way to go! (still having trouble shaking that image of the white t-shirt and knee-high black socks). Thanks Susan! The fifth one down (the first Pet Wood cab) is the wrap that got scrapped three times. For some reason, I kept messing up the cradle wires (the elongated prongs). They were WAY too far onto the stone. I thought I had it right three different times...but nope! LOL Oh my, jasoninsd . Those are just splendid, you are a talented fellow! Thank you so much Jean! Although there were times of frustration...I was glad to be back wrapping. I wish I were a bit more creative...but I'm super happy with how these turned out.

jasoninsdI bet it does hurt! Never understood why scars hurt so much and are so sensitive, especially early on. 90 day fiance, never heard of it but I would probably be with you in finding something else to do lol! But I’m glad the missus is watching it so we can see more wraps!

LOL - Yeah...the TV schedule and colder weather setting in here pretty soon will likely cause more wraps to come to fruition!

jasoninsdYeah, I don't watch much tv other than cartoons or older shows. Everything these days has too much language and immorality. (Prudish, I know, but I like it that way!) we have been on a western kick lately, watching John Waynes and The Rifleman series.

Heck, I was watching an episode of Andy Griffith the other day. I happen to like a lot of shows/movies that you probably wouldn't...but my wife and I have gotten into watching episodes of "Highway To Heaven". I commented to my wife how amazing Michael Landon was about producing "feel good" show...like HTH and Little House on the Prairie. Shows with "values"...

Michael Landon is an angel tasked with setting things right in people's lives. Victor French (also from Little House) plays his human "sidekick".

How funny jasoninsd, the fifth one down was my fav. Your extra effort must have shown.

Thanks Patty The fifth one down is the same shape as the second one down. I wrapped the 5th one first, and didn't want to wrap the 2nd one facing the same direction...so I flipped it 180 degrees. I was torn on where to put the bail on the 2nd one (the 5th's bail position was already decided!)...so I tried to aim for the center balancing point...which, due to the slightly higher left side, is slightly to the left of center on the cab. I did check how it hangs, and it hangs straight...so I feel like I nailed the bail position. jasoninsd Thanks for the recommendation! We are all fond of Mr. Edwards lol! I haven't Googled it...maybe because I don't want to find out differently...but I always imagine Michael and Victor were "best friends" in real life...just like they always seemed to be in their shows! LOL

I don't think people realize how much thought can actually go into a wrap.
You done good

I've been wanting to get back to wrapping for awhile...but my finger (the one I cut this summer) reminds me it doesn't like to be touched there! I really like doing a weaved bail...and the weaving wire runs right over where it was cut. So, I either can't feel the wire on the upper part of my finger...or I DO feel it in the middle of the finger! LOL I think I've figured out...it's just gonna hurt...so I'll be doing more wraps here shortly. Plus, a new season of 90 Day Fiancé just started...I have to find SOMETHING to do! LOL Get some Nexcare Absolute Waterproof Tape. Put it on your finger when you're weaving. I use it on my fingers when I'm weaving with 28 ga wire. That stuff will cut right through your skin after awhile and it can also be painful after you've been working for some time. Learned the hard way and read a tip somewhere to use that and it works really well. Try it!

Where the scar is, it hurts like hell...but from the scar to the end of my finger, I have NO feeling...so I've been super nervous the wire was going to cut into me as I can't really feel what it's doing! (I've ground my finger several times on the edge of the cabbing wheels because I can't feel it making contact!)

As my African American buddy says, "You a trip" Jason. #3 down is my favorite. It frames the jewel clean then throws an ornate abstract side weight to the top and side. The contrast adds interest and is eye catching.
