Date: October 7. 2022 Weather: Sunny, clear sky, 65 °F Destination: River Isar, Region "Oberes Isartal" Yes. Literally one day later. A good friend of mine called me up a few days before my last trip and as she could not make it for Thursday, we agreed on a little trip on Friday. Thought I'd show her the region I discovered in June this year and revisited in August for another round of beautiful nature, shiny, colorful stones and fresh, clear river water. To sum it up: She had a blast. The funniest thing for me: She was more into searching for "them shiny, colorful stones" than I was! (And she found the biggest piece of quartz I've ever seen. Yay for me... guess who carried all the stones? ) It simply was a near perfect day.
No traffic, smooth driving, amazing weather, a fantastic region to explore,
... and everything is just that much more fun when you can share it with someone that genuinely appreciates the whole experience. Stayed till dawn, drove to my place, divided all the stones and...
I'm sure she fell asleep with a smile on her face that evening.
Sure as hell I did.

Gabriel, I don't believe I will ever tire of seeing the seemingly serene landscape you document on these trips! I'm glad you were able to share the time and location with a good friend!

The sunset pictures are awesome are stunning! I almost feel sorry for you having to lug that big quartz around (almost).
