As usual lately, I'm awfully late to this thread. AWESOME SAUCE WRAP, jasoninsd! Can't wait to see what you come up with for the hidden bail. I have never done one of those in wire.

Yeah...but those people who arrive late to the party usually get a grand entrance! LOL Thanks Robin! I'm not sure if I'll do a hidden bail on this next one or not...but I will do one. I believe if it has three anchor points along the perimeter of the base wires on the back, I can make it work...

What an outstanding piece, Jason! The cab and bail are clearly supporting actors to your stunning framing. When (not if ) you do this design again, I would really like to see it with a hidden bail, pretty please ... jasoninsd I'm with Gary hidden bail could double as a bolo tie technique possibly nom the less you are a definitely an inspiration you just keep climbing the proverbial mountain of skills I say again I'm always impressed.

Thank you Johnny! I think this one might be a tad bulky/big for a bolo...although I do want to get some bolo ties into my inventory...one of these days! That is beautiful. Your skill is evident. Thanks Dillon! I did a couple other wraps today...one more "new for me" style. Definitely not as "loud" as this one is though! LOL

Okay, what did I miss? Mind is definitely blown over this one. As you have really progressed with the wrapping, are you selling these on kind of a one-by-one basis, or are you building up an inventory to do shows? I saw you mentioned a show coming up, so I'm just curious if you've had any return (or will have) for your work. jasoninsd

We all invited you, but you didn't RSVP...so we started without you! Thank you so much Dave! At the moment, I'm "building up inventory"...which I guess I have been from the start! LOL - I do have a show coming up next Friday and Saturday. It's a bigger deal than anything else around. The Dahl Arts Center is a local place that promotes arts within the community...all kinds of arts. They are having a festival next weekend which will highlight 19 local "artists" and the pieces they've done. People had to put in an application along with pictures of their work, and only 19 of those applicants were chosen to attend. I was one of the 19. Woot Woot! - This is also why I've kind of kicked on the afterburners to start making pieces that are outside my comfort zone...which this one is! LOL I've been saying for a long time that I was going to be listing my wraps on Etsy...but with the issues going on with Etsy, I've been reluctant to pursue it just yet. I just haven't made up my mind as to what the best course of action is going to be. There's only so many local ways to sell...and obviously the internet broadens one's customer base. There's numerous options to take...it's just figuring out which one is going to be the best one for me... The show I did this summer was an absolute success. Although it was my first one...and nothing else to really compare it to, I was pleased with the "return" that I got over that weekend. It was WELL worth the time. I have no expectations about what this coming weekend is going to bring, but of course I have hopes! LOL Any wrap that I've posted on the forum is up for sale...I just don't put prices on them when I'm posting them.

LOL That show sounds really neat, and what an honor to be chosen for it...especially since it is for a variety of artwork. I am really excited for you, and I can't wait to see the report from that one. I hear you on the Etsy thing. Even though I don't sell anything through it, I've seen enough commentary to question how worthwhile it really is. But, as you noted, internet exposure is...well...exposure. Good luck on figuring something out, and good luck with the show.

I am nervous...but more excited.

Congrats on your show, Jason. It really IS a big deal to be one of the nineteen chosen. Now it's time to stop being self-deprecating and admit that you've grown by leaps and bounds since I first saw your work (although I didn't see much of your earlier stuff). You're trying all kinds of styles, keeping at it and conquering them one at a time. Your wraps are lovely, and your work is clean and precise---truly good stuff!

I don't think of it as self-deprecating...I think of it as hyper-self-critical! LOL
