I like sloths and lemurs. If they have an aquarium I have been a massive shark fanatic since 6th grade.

That's really cool that you plan on making this a morning rendezvous! What could be more peaceful than enjoying company with some amazingly majestic animals! I'd love to see any of the big-game animals from Africa (Rhino, Hippo, Lions)!

I was looking at their website (https://www.phoenixzoo.org/explore/animals/) to see what kind of animals they have...and chuckled when I saw "Prairie Dogs"! I can walk out to my back fence and see some Prairie Dogs about 75 yards to the south in the open field out there! LOL *I get there's a lot of people who haven't seen Prairie Dogs...but they're actual "pests" out here.

They are generally much smaller than herons. I am glad that you are getting out and enjoying your zoo. San Diego has so many attractions (The World Famous™ SD Zoo, Wild Animal Safari Park, Sea World) that people who live here tend to visit on when they have relatives in town visiting. I am guilty of that, lol. But who can afford, especially now, the exorbitant fees they charge? Can't remember the last time I visited Disneyland, right up the freeway a piece. Then there are all the natural things and parks to see in town.
