The first piece is Polychrome Jasper. I owe a huge thanks to Robin ( hummingbirdstones ) on this one. I looked at a tutorial, but didn't follow it. LOL - I saw the way the two weaves came across the bail, and did my own version of how I thought it should be done. The second piece is Ohio Flint that came from aDave . I kinda followed a tutorial that was for a round cab...so there were some alterations I had to make. Third is Malachite and Azurite. Fourth is the "Nightmare" wrap I posted this last week. I decided to patina the piece. I'm glad I did. I think the patina allows for more depth within the piece. As always, thanks for taking a gander!

All of these are excellent Jason! I really admire how you can use a tutorial as a base and just take off from there. The patina on the sunburst wrap really makes it pop. Good call!

Thank you so much my friend!! I have a few other tutorials ( ) that I'm browsing through every other night...trying to pick some ideas from them. It's fun! LOL Yeah...when I saw the Sunburst after the steel wool hit it after the patina...I smiled pretty big. I was hoping the patina was going to do exactly what it did by giving certain areas of the weave a lot more depth than it had without it.

Looks like a Christmas wreath for a door, or something. Tear em up, tiger, you da man! Actually, I think jamesp said you were a machine. Jason, the Manchine, lol. You have come so far, so fast, you amaze me!

Thanks Dillon! I might have to go back to some more "normal" wraps for a spell...just so I can get more than one done in an evening! LOL The first piece is Polychrome Jasper. You have come so far, so fast, you amaze me! Thank you so much Jean! I'm going to do another one just like that wreath with a "big sister" to that cab. They're going to look pretty close to the same...purposely. You never know if someone will want them as a "set". I kinda like "Manchine"! LOL Really liking these styles you’ve been doing recently Thank you my friend! I thought I should kinda put it into overdrive and have some "higher end" type pieces for the show next weekend. I'll be curious what sells or doesn't sell...

Wow these are absolutely gorgeous! I can not decide which one is my favorite, the Polychrome Jasper or the Ohio Flint.

Don't get me wrong...I absolutely love how "big" the Polychrome is...but I think it's nice to be able to offer a selection.

I'm definitely in the flint crowd for #1--it's going to look great hanging from a chain. But I like them all, and most of all, I like that you are having a great time!

I really do like hearing who likes which one best. I've shown these to some people in person...and the interests are all over the place. Which tells me the old "variety is the spice of life" adage holds true with wire-wrapping as well! I definitely am enjoying trying some new things. Some day, I hope I can incorporate everything I'm learning into some designs which are completely pulled out of thin air...rather than relying on trying to "replicate" things I've seen.

jasoninsd , thanks for the tag. It's great to see the inventory is building quite nicely. I can't wait to see the report on the show. They all look great, and I think the move to put a patina on the sunburst was an excellent one.

Now I just have to figure out how to fit them all on a 6' table before Thursday night! LOL

All are wonderful. My fav is #2.
Do you have any display boards? My daughter and I made some that can be folded in half for transport. They are just wood framed with hinges. We covered some foam board in fabric. Mounted that in the middle of the frame. Added a handle to the top. They were inexpensive to make and work great.
I like how the items displayed can be left in them when taking down.

jasoninsd Wow I love your nightmare wrap! I think I’d be ok with nightmares like that. I’ll have to go and find your original post about it. I think maybe I have seen this style as well on a YouTube tutorial before but you executed it very nicely.👍👍 Also a fan of the polychrome. Been trying to get my hands on some of that!

But...I'm going to have to have the front four open with the lids completely back...then the other four cases behind the front ones and on top of the lids of the first row. I think I'm going to want to angle the back row up just a little. I think I can do that with a 4x4 or 2x4 that's covered in something so it doesn't just look like a chunk of wood! LOL If you've got some pictures of your display cases (or if you've posted them before, let me know). I'd like to see what you're describing for yours.

Thank you so much! The tutorial that I changed up is called the "Icarus" wrap on YouTube. (Definitely not taking credit for the overall design...just the "tweaks"! LOL) Yeah...I do love Polychrome Jasper. I've worked a couple pieces that shined as well as Royal Imperial!

jasoninsd Ok I found your original post. Yes definitely like the patina’d version of the sunburst best. Bright is good but patina’d is just better, more depth like you said. I’m interested to see your collection of wraps that you have ready for your show. I hope you’ll post some pics. I always think collections look so great all together and while people won’t wear more than one at a time, they will look so great all displayed together for sale.👍

I’ve never wrapped, well I’ve done one, about 10 years ago, so I’ll just go ahead and try this as my 2nd one ever.🤣 Recently I bid on an eBay auction of polychrome. There was one piece that actually had an entire rainbow. Not just green and pink and orange, but like an actual whole rainbow of colors showing. I got out-bid.😢 Then my husband comes along and wants to bid on some blue tiger eye. That auction went well over the polychrome one, and we won. If I had KNOWN… argh, I think I could’ve gotten the polychrome for less than the price of the tiger eye.

This isn't the one I described above, but a different one we made later. I put peg hooks on it. The back section is a little over 2' wide. Two of these displays fit perfectly on a 6' table. I fan the sides out a little.
