Gary Green Jasper
A thank you to Susan, susand24224 for having the pre-form giveaway. This piece of Gary Green was among them & I decided to just go with the relative free form shape it was.
I'm usually a very organized / symmetrical / template kind of person- but I like it.
Thanks for looking,
Patty

Love the colors and the shape. I haven't cut any in a long time.

Thanks Tela,
It's funny, it's just a little piece & I didn't want to waste any of it, so I just went for it. Tom said he thinks it looks like the surface of Jupiter, complete with a spot -
I guess that's the ellipsoid (thanks realrockhound ) Now I have to figure out what to do with it - another challenge.

I suppose that really did make your eyebrows raise when I said the Gary Green cabs I did recently were from "practice worthy material"! LOL I like the pattern in that one. I'm pretty sure the ellipso pattern is the semi-circular darker green "quarter orbs" in the upper left of the cab.

Well I guess if I had shovels full, jasoninsd, it would be a different story - but 1 or 2 small pieces & it's special

realrockhound Yes, can someone identify the "elipso"? I see people selling this and using that word and don't know what it means in reference to Gary Green/Freedom. Is it the dark green "quarter orbs" like jasoninsd thinks, or the planetoid/liquidy swirls?

That’s what is referred to as elipso

LOL - A Google search of Gary Green Ellipso lead me right back here to the forum: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/83208/ellipso-jasper

realrockhound Ok, so sort of like in Bruneau jasper or Willow Creek? Except Gary Green also has stripes at the same time...
