I'm a little late for the party - I lost a week+ to the relatives' visit (and then the cold I caught from them), but the coin is interesting indeed susand24224 - I really like it. The top bead is extra nice. Greek, I think you mentioned, which is pretty cool - Did you get it in change, personally? I'm wondering now, if you'll make a complimentary earring or an opposite ? Earrings can be fun that way. The cameo is quite nice, & as others have said, looks delicate kate_foundlings , but not having a scale, I think I like it as a pendant vs an earring, as there are a bunch of things going on there, & I think would be more appreciated that way. And there are no square corners, so it's roundish Well, I started my round wrap last night - With any luck, I'll maybe pull it off by the weekend - we shall see.... Patty Thank you, Patty. The coins came from one of my parents' frequent trips, and the bead came from Greece. I *think* it is one that I bought there, but not sure, since I also buy beads here that were made in Greece. I have made the second one now, opposite, (at least the wrap) although the head refused to turn around for me. I thought about putting the building in the front, but it was just too different. . . When I was in Greece I also brought coins back, but they are Euros, rather than the original Hellenic ones.

OK, here's my round wrap - I believe it's Rainforest Jasper.
It's a cab I had left over from my Christmas present, round cab project, so that made it a bit more do-able after my company left.
I'd made a couple of her projects. I've found that the written tutorials, that I can print out ,are pretty useful in learning some new techniques.
OTOH, I've also found that most of the tutorials need changing to look right in my humble opinion.
So this one started out quite long, and ridiculously long (for me anyway), so of course I went back and re-made it shorter.
I tell myself that I'm getting my $ worth with the tutorial, since I learn something & then even learn to change it.
So it's all good.
I did also find out last night that if you have any vugs in a rainforest jasper anyway, the LOS darkened them. But I still think it looks OK, although I could imagine my back design being more centered & neat & nice , sigh........
Thanks for the challenge!
There's still a couple of days left in the month, someone else must be roundly inspired

Looks great! And... totally unusual, which is totally cool.

I love it! I like the variety of uses of wire, the twists, the coils, and "plain." I find the framing of the twisted wire going toward the bail interesting as well. The overall beauty of the wrap is that there is a lot of subtle interest, none of which lessens the beauty of the stone. And liveoak, I also want to say thank you for your critique of your work, as it definitely adds a "learning" element to a simple photo.

It was the first round wrap I tried, so a good challenge.
I guess everyone else is too busy rolling around through April to be roundly challenged

DH surprised me by taking a day off! He NEVER does that! So, we had a nice roadtrip up north a bit. I don't think I'll get my wrap finished and photographed in time.

Drocknut, this is probably a little late but, my daughter in Texas, has goats. She lends them out to the neighbors to eat their poison ivy. They do a great job, but you can't touch them for a week afterward. The poison ivy stuff comes out their pores.

That's a great wrap, liveoak. My eye is almost all better now. However, I am not up to any challenge right now, so maybe next month.

I guess that's the nice thing about this challenge that Tela came up with- no pressure, where ever, when ever.
Just maybe, sometimes a push to motivate us --- which sometimes works

Well, I had hoped to get a round cab wrapped but I just couldn't get everything done this month that I wanted to. I blame the tax man. :-| I thought I'd post some easy little earrings I've been playing around with. This isn't my design, it's a tutorial I found. But I really like them. They are simple and cute. The picture is just one of each color bead but they were made in matching pairs.

liveoak rockjunquie Thank you. Ya it’s a good quick project for practicing technique’s like patina methods and just wire manipulation in general. Hopefully this next month I’ll find time to try a new wrap.🤞
