Don't photograph on white. Choose something that will not do that.

Nice photos and nice rocks! I like Bloodstone and green moss agates. Seems like bloodstone often gets mixed with some moss agate; maybe they are from a similar area in India.

I like that cubic rough. I have seen rough rock like that sold on Etsy. Is that where you got it?
Great job on those as well!! I have the same problems photographing shiny rocks with a phone camera. It’s hard to create the perfect conditions to get that good picture!

Those look awesome. I've only done bloodstone once, and it was stuff I bought from Kingsley North. It was pretty nice stuff, but I found it to be pretty porous.

Did you get those from Meekos Mine, out of curiosity? You did a good job with them, nice shine an all. Kind of funny how are you got a few moss agates mixed in. They’re look like pretty nice ones at least. Bloodstone is rapidly turning in one of my favorites. I got a batch awhile back that I’ve started working on lately. They seem to tumble very well, haven’t had issues with micro fractures or similar.

Some people don't like the symmetrical look of the finished product, but I think it looks pretty cool. I would like to buy some from there sometime, it looks to be good quality...

waterboysh - Those tumbles look great! FWIW - I've cabbed several pieces of Bloodstone. It polishes amongst some of the top-level polishes of any material I've worked. However, I'll be danged if I can EVER get a good picture of this material when it's all polised!! LOL

I like that cubic rough. I have seen rough rock like that sold on Etsy. Is that where you got it? As someone else mentioned, I got it from Meeko's Mine. Their rough tends to be cut and not crushed. It has it's pros and cons. You can see the Mookaite and Dumortierite that I ordered from them as well.

It looks like they had few imperfections to wear away and would be more quick to process.
