I just got an exchange box of rocks from dillonf. Thanks much Dillon. Pic attached. Included in the box is: Wyoming moss agate Solid Ocos Fire agate Richardson's Ranch opal egg Hoyt Canyon Agate Apple Valley agate Carnelian Coprolite Ocean jasper Ron Coleman ranch quartz Texas quartz various colors Texas chert and flint various colors I am wondering if there is a way to organize the pics from different people. Do people just want to see finalized rocks or what we get and/or progress photos? I was thinking origianlly it would be nice to see beginning and progress but it might get hard to follow and it might be a while until I or others get to everything they get. Ideas?

I feel you can always post photos of both the before and the after, even that means some pictures will be posted multiple times. I don't think anybody would complain seeing beautiful rocks

There are no rules in this thread regarding pictures and so forth, just have fun. Post as many or as few as you want. As said before, nobody here gets sick of seeing pictures of pretty rocks.

I just did a SFR box exchange with chris1956 as well:Michigan Rocks and 2 each of: Petoskey Stones, Charlevoix Stones, Horn Coral. I'll tumble the Michigan rocks, and hand polish the rest some day . . . I'm very grateful for exchanges like this - allows me to get unique stuff from around the country.

I’ve been down for a several days. I have this new pain doctor and he did a round of three deep steroid shots in my left shoulder and under the scapula over several days. Mondays was the worst. Look at this needle, it’s 20 gauge and awful to think that the whole thing was used to get underneath my scapula to inject the bursa. It hurt like hell and I don’t react as positive to steroids as I used to. They make me sick for a week or so. But I’m feeling better and will get caught back up. Got two boxes I am working on for iamchris and jeg that I plan to get off by this weekend.

There's a lot of tissue to get though to get behind your shoulder blade! Your health always comes first, so please don't stress about anything going on in this forum. All of this is supposed to be fun and distracting from the day-to-day! I hope you feel better.

I love that part of it as well. I also like seeing through other peoples eyes… the rocks that they like and so forth. Man, I am having a blast seeing people connect for rock exchanges here. It’s a real feel good kinda thing for me.

He only did 3 complete remove/injection points. What killed me was the 5 angle changes from each point. I've felt your pain and still makes my butt clinch over 20 years later.

I have a neighbor here who is from Michigan. They moved here for work a number of years ago and will now be going back for retirement. We don’t know them really well, just neighborly and as needed for fence repairs and whatnot. I was chatting with her over the fence recently and asked her about Petoskey stones. She said, oh ya they’re all over, some people collect them. I wanted to ask her to send me a box but she just seemed so bored by the thought of it!🤣

Those are looking nice! Thanks for sharing. I have all of the rocks you sent me tumbling in a 3-lb barrel as well (minus the pet wood and the little thunder egg. I still need to crack up the blue lace as well. I’ll post a picture next cleanout! I’m sending a small box of similar stuff to chris1956 tomorrow.

Yeah, the angle change is harsh. I have a lot of scar tissue so every time the needle goes in it makes a harsh popping/ripping sound. Makes me nauseous.

I received an exchange box of rocks today from hplcman. First picture is dry and second is wet. Included are California beach rocks, train track ballast, some Idaho seam agate, and blue lace agate. I really like the blue lace agate. Haven't had the opportunity to handle that before. The yellow color on the yellowish ones really jumps when you wet them. I am guessing they will look as good polished. Now I need to clear out tumblers to get working on these although I may cut a few to see what else I can do with them. Thanks much Justin. Chris
