That third one is amazing, but they all are. Too bad about the Prudent Man. I'm interested to see how you save it.

LOL I looked at it for quite awhile...and no matter what I thought of, I'd lose that green plume area...which is the whole point in these cabs. I might just throw it away! LOL Bad toad you Broke it !!! I swear it was broken when I got it!! LOL I agree the third one is amazing. Thanks Chris! I can't decide between the first and the third. I really love both of them! LOL

I saw those purple/pink spheres poking through the edge of the rock, and knew I wanted to make a cab from that exact spot!

Killer. Fracture in the last one is fine. Not bad enough to scoff about. Still understand how annoying that is

Wow. Love the Crazy Lace.👍 On the fracture, you could do a creative wrap where you swoop a wire or two in and cover it. Then the question is can you sell it? Is the fracture enough to make the stone unstable and prone to cracking fully down the road?

Many times there are micro fractures and we don't see and during polishing pressure causes fractures to spread. Damn shame though. Its a pretty cab

Is the fracture enough to make the stone unstable and prone to cracking fully down the road? Thanks Khara! Yep...that's exactly what I figured I was going to have to do when I wrap this one! I don't believe it's unstable in the least. I was...dare I say...pretty "firm" when grinding and polishing that one... Beautiful material and excellent cutting, Jason! Thanks Gary! I was pretty excited about that first and third Crazy Lace when they were "coming to life"! Many times there are micro fractures and we don't see and during polishing pressure causes fractures to spread. Damn shame though. Its a pretty cab Thank you!! I'm worried about micro-fractures in the next set of Crazy Lace I have coming up. It's a different source...

The other day I went back and reworked a completed obsidian cab. It had just a touch of haze in one spot on the top, that I could see. It wasn’t all that noticeable but I felt it made it not a perfect cab. I thought it really just needed 1200 and 3000. Ended up putting a deep scratch in it somehow. Had to go all the way back to 280. It’s obsidian which seems to take, me anyway, for-ev-er. Got her all done and was finishing up on 3000. And then, she just snapped right in half. What a waste, of a perfectly fine cab, and my time.

It must be something in the air! I've put a couple deep gouges in some cabs on the 600 and 1200. I know how I did it...running off the edge of the wheel and it deep grooved the dome! Arghhh!! It also happened to me recently...where I worked a cab (can't for the life of me remember what it was)...and it was one of my triangular shapes I do a lot. Got it all the way to the 3000...and SNAP! Broke right in half. I couldn't understand how the heck it made it through all the rest of the wheels, but snapped on the 3000. WTH! LOL Dang! Great cuts on those Jason. Way to capture the insanity 😄 Thanks Alex! There's something about these which (to me) make them look "old-school"! The next one's I'm going to do (different rough) are RIDDLED with parallax banding! If they turn out, they're really going to be SICK! (In the good way! LOL)

They look 👀 great. Goofy stuff show up all the time it’s a rock unpredictable and you made it look great. I’m glad it stayed together and you got to share it with us. Mine would have split and I would have a (free form lol adaptation of the original version) well done. Thx for sharing loving it

I can't tell you how many of mine have ended up in the scrap pile because they didn't "hold up"! LOL All of them are great, but I really love that third one, too. Thanks RH!! I would have liked that third one to have been slightly bigger...but that's the size the slab had to offer - between fractures! LOL

Very nice cabs. My favorite is #1. I love the colors of the crazy lace, very different from the norm of yellow, orange, and red. Thanks fro sharing.
