I'm going to post a few of these rough rocks, I do not think they are any kind of display specimen. He has 30 + pounds of each of these in big buckets. I picked one or two off the top of each bucket, so forgive me if this is just junk rock. It could be cutoffs or tumbling stone for all I know. I'll number these to make it easier. #1 Has a mirror like look to it, hard to capture in photos: #2 No clue #3 I believe is a boulder opal, best guess honduran? #4 No clue #5 Best guess chrysoprase or chrysophrase, not sure even which is the right way. Not the same color as the other stuff so need a verification. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to take a guess on these. THANKS PEEPLES!

dreamrocks - Thanks for the speed ID's The flourescent rocks do not glow under UV light - Is that what you meant? Thanks for the confirmation on the chrysoprase. I wasn't certain on that one, the color was different than the other chrysoprase we have. So these are not tumbling stones, I would gather?

The more I look at #3 if it’s emerald in matrix it’s Brazil and not Columbia
Truthfully there’s no crystals to go by there fractured (broken) they could be green apatite

No not tumbling nope no way
The first one don’t see any thing definite with it unless your using the wrong wave length that will make a difference

It does not flouresce. Ok one more which I THINK is chrysoprase, but the bubbly look to it makes me think maybe not.

I'm not hammering anything, that one broke on its own, promise!
I tried 2 different wavelength of uv, nothing.
Thanks for the info on that boulder opal. Do you think the 2 others I posted might be chrysocolla?

It comes in both colors blues & greens sometimes mixed in both colors of green and blue in the same stone it also mixes with other minerals like turquoise

Do you have any information on what "gem silica" chrysocolla is? The second bluer piece is the one I question... it has a more translucent appearance.
