It's a rock. It's pinky purpley with a little bit of metallic flakes in it. Cut face smooth, hard to photograph. Outside of the rock almost looks like grains of sand but doesn't feel sandy or coarse. No clue what it is. Have a only found rough pf this so far, but it's cut off so might find some slabs down the line. That's all I can say about that. Anyone know what this is? Either Strawberry Quartz or Lepidolite - Thanks to rockjunquie, rmf, and dreamrocks

If you run across these they are lepidolite crystals these are purplish pink. Can be pink or purple or purplish pink like these This is also lepidolite a darker fine grained purplish not much pink in this one. If I dig in the closet to find one with tourmaline in it I might find something to grind & polish. Lol

Thank you dreamrocks. If you do grind and polish one, I'd love to see it. You really want me to dig in the closet to find something to grind & polish? Will this one work? It does have a couple tiny white spots that are being a pain to remove! Check out last nights blueberry pie I posted.

tribeunited and dreamrocks here's a few very different lepidolites. One with prehnite, one with tourmaline, one with "sheets of sparkle" and one very gorgeous grape from WY (courtesy of hummingbirdstones ) Fun fact: Lepidolite is composed of lithium and other things. Some people wear it for depression.

Not sure where I put them if I get chance I’ll take a look. It’s probably where I put that piece of ball lepidolite I have been looking for
