Hi all. I was having fun with a slab of Carey plume agate and decided a good shape for this piece would be a fishbowl. Okay, so the fish are hiding in the plant growth. I really like this material, but it's very hard to come by and when you can find it, it's pricey. This piece is about 3/4" wide Thanks for looking, Ed

sure is neat Ed! Now if only you could turn an actual bowl or vase on a lathe out of that rock, that would be something!

Stoner - Great idea and beautiful cab. Just imagine if that was a 12" sphere.

A. Beautiful rock! You keep turning up with all sorts of rocks, each more interesting than the last. B. Really really cool shape for a cab. I have never seen that before and it really works, especially with the plume agate! My conclution: Sweet! Steve

Cool idea! I am expecting to see the fish pop out from behind the plants at any moment!

You see? If you don't give a size reference then you can make people believe it's 10" across when it's only 1" Looks great for sure! You ever think about those lit bases? I've been seeing those more & more lately with the advent of cheap white LED technology...

Ed-
What a great piece of handiwork you've created. I love that idea. If you look hard enough you'll see Nephrite swimming around in there!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL,

Thanks everyone. As I was shaping this piece, the plumes just called out to me and since there was a fracture near the bottom anyway, I figured, why not. Hey LCARS, I've been thinking about using LED's on pendants too. My wife planted that idea in my head when she said it's too bad there isn't some way of back-lighting stones that I've made necklaces out of. That would be totally cool.

I love it Ed, But the photo is pretty sweet too. Good job! You every get a chance to work Eagle rock plume, it can be just as nice. I got me a hugh 8 pound piece, but i dont know if i ever cut it becasue of the angle wing patterns on the exteroir.
