Here is a cab I made today from a slab of Nydegger Plume Agate I got from realrockhound. Thanks! The cab came from the upper left corner of the slab, in, just past the first little bit of plume. I have that first bit and will work on it later. Several views of the same finished cab. Thanks for taking a look, Chris

That is nice. I wonder how that would look as a doublet with something darker behind it. just thinking out loud.

Looks so beautiful. When it is backed by the green wax it looks even more delicious, which made me think, some green serpentine as the material for backing might work.

Very nice, I will have to look for some of that agate whenever and wherever there's a rock and gem show. Thanks for sharing.

It’s gorgeous, but too rich for my blood. Guessing there was never much on the market, so I am unlikely to find any in my bins *starts dreaming of estate sales*

Was a central Oregon classic. Some even included pink, red, and orange plume. But that material was very limited

Then again, pretty sure I have a chunk of gunnery point which is also small amounts from the 60s

Great cab Chris! This is one of my favorite materials to use for doublets. Seeing it with the wax backing confirms just how much the plume "pops" when it has a darker backing!!
