@rockinruralmo That's beautiful! Is it Montana or Indian Blackskin? I know there's one from a river in Australia that looks a lot like Montana too but can't recall the name.

I think it's Montana just looking at and working it. I picked up out of a dollar bin at a local show though, so didn't get any provenance on it. I got my dollar's worth. (Or would if I ever figured out the selling side of this hobby.) |

Tommy I'm not sure of the rules being whether or not the cab has to be completely done during the month of the contest but I did get a repolish done of the Josephine's Crown cab I did earlier this year. Do these count as cracks?   Ok, ok. I'll find another cab. - Rob

I have heard our winter called "the big gray", I'm not ready for it. Thank you! Yeah, I kept it low and slow when polishing on the flat lap, the pyrite turned the disc black. I probably would have been scared off polishing this on a cabber since they move so fast. It's called Josephine's Crown and it's a super tough material to find nowadays since they stopped mining for the gold in Josephine County, OR. I've had to look all this up as I purchased this unknowingly from an estate sale. There was so much patina on the pyrite that it was ugly as sin. Turned out that there was a diamond in that rough.  - Rob |

Holey Regency (I think?), batman... I don’t believe so. This was some stuff that my grandpa dug, that he has a stash of that’s just labeled owyhee. Outside of that pink, it doesn’t look like any regency I have or have seen. |

Son Of Beach nope. In my mud room, I have a big deep duel sink. I was scrubbing stuff out of the voids. Still needs a bit more cleaning.

As just an FYI, there is a small flat rate random assortment of slabs box up for grabs to the winner. And since i'm such a great guy, if I win, it goes to second place. If there is a multiple way tie between second place, I'll put a number in a hat and draw to keep things fair.   |
