I thought it was fun to make a seasonal fun wrap. Nothing exotic, just a pumpkin, BUT it's a petrified pumpkin. Self collected from the top secret Alabama Petrified Wood Pumpkin Patch (thanks jamesp )
Thanks for looking,
Patty

Oh, I like that one. Very nice, Patty! Thanks, Mike - a fun quick one for a change Very nice and so creative! I am brainstorming what other stones would be perfect for pumpkin... Thank you pebblesky, I have to admit it is not my original idea.
I happened on-line to see everyone & their sister (or brother), that wire wraps, makes pumpkins this time of year & I thought it was fun. Then I remembered I had that orange Al pet cab-so it seemed like the thing to do.
I have seen people use almost any cab - most of them do all kinds of swirls & such to make it fancier. I briefly thought it would be fun to carve the cab with a face, like a pumpkin, but then reminded myself it was supposed to be a QUICK fun project

Lovely, Patty!
I wonder if it would be possible to make a pumpkin pendant that has eyes, nose, and mouth done with wire.

Thanks, Pat, I decided it just the thing to wear for Thanksgiving ! Lovely, Patty! I wonder if it would be possible to make a pumpkin pendant that has eyes, nose, and mouth done with wire. Well, Gary - that's sounding almost like a challenge, I'm going to have to decide if I'm up for it Thank you, I think Thanks, Chris

If you can pull it off, I think you'd also have a design/instruction sheet that you would $ell. Well, sell only one month of the year....

Sigh...... but now it's the push to see if I can do it, somewhat elegantly. But I KNOW it won't compete with your carving ! We shall see what I can come up with.
Thanks, Susan

Okay, liveoak, I've now had sufficient sleep to comment in more detail. I love it! Having just completed a messy weaving job, I am particularly drawn to the evenness of yours--which works well with Mr. Orange. I like the detail across the front which actually enhances the subtle pattern of your stone rather than interfering with it. And the bail--the bail really tops off everything!

It's amazing to me, how many colors that Al wood has. Interesting stuff Okay, liveoak , I've now had sufficient sleep to comment in more detail. I love it! I started cabbing a bigger one today, hopefully it will come together as well.
We shall see.
