I cannot get my rocks to be polished, they are dull even though I tumble them even longer than it calls for. The kit I have has only 3 diferent grits, could this be part of the problem? Can you help me? Darla

Hi ron I'd like to take a look at that if you would be so kind as to send a copy to bob@rkpickens.com Hi Darla sometimes you need to use four steps, 60/90 120/220 400/600 or prepolish and then a polish there are as many recipes as there are rocks not sure what you are using but I hope this helps. You may want to post your question in the general rocks foram others are sure to help you.

Thanks for the file Ron. I think I must of done something wrong though when I opened it it was blank. May be a virus blocker or something being stupid had that problem before. but thanks all the same.

Hi Ron, I have just returned from vacationing in Northern Michigan and I have a collection of awesome stones that I found in the Petosky- Charlevoix area. I would like to polish them and have just started researching the steps to be taken and what equipment and supplies are needed. Your guide would be greatly appreciated and much needed at this point. Thank you for making this available. robint@comcast.net Roblynt

Ron, I wouldn't mind a file of the Guide either. I am aways looking for improvements, and it seems like I learn something almost every batch that I tumble. I appreciate you taking the time to offer this up to the members of the forum! Another great rockhound! Thanks, Steve e-mail.....Sholmes903@aol.com
