Great news! One stop shopping to get all those tests done at one time! That saves alot of time and will give her a jump start on her treatment plan. Something else she may wish to discuss with her doctors is alternative medicine. She could use this nateral medicine along with her treatment. Have her check on it as alot of doctors are getting more and more into it.

Cher, I haven't posted lately, but I have been praying for your complete recovery! Hope everything goes well with the tests and you don't suffer too much through the Chemo. Hear it can really be rough. When it gets too bad, just picture that next batch of beautiful shiny rocks ready to be examined and loved. Trish

Amen to that, just not the same with out cher and the cute little 'not listening' bunny Don't know you well but know cancer well. My mom had it in 90. Back when ovarian cancer meant you would die soon. But she didn't. She's still going strong. I credit it to her attitude. While everyone waits for cher's bunny, here's one to keep you occupied:

I'm Home!!
Had my first treatment yesterday, started about 10 am, ended about midnight. There's five different "ingredients" to the chemo they are giving me. I had several bad reactions to the first one which meant they had to shut it down, give me meds to counteract the reactions and be sure all of them were gone before they could start them again. Took forever but I guess the nurse and my daughter had a few good giggles. I was never so out of it in my life, here's a few highlights.
Let's see, I'm told I was working ratio's on the remote control, but couldn't get the numbers to line up. Funny deal, the remote had NO numbers, think that could be why I couldn't get the ratios?
Talking about going to Brainard (home of Paul Bunyun and Babe the blue ox) to look at some horses.
On time, my daughter looks at me and says, Mom??? What are you doing? (I was reaching back and forth from my bed to the edge of the table very carefully). I said, well can't you see them? I'm lining up the cross-country skiies from the garage to make sure they are all there.
I'd be talking to my daughter and the nurse and all of a sudden, poof, my head would drop and I'd be out like a light.
Needless to say, it was a trip!
Anyway, the plan is for 6 to 8 treatments, 3 weeks apart so it will last 18 to 24 weeks. I'm scheduled for a CT/PET scan next week, (another one to puke over) and will see my dr in two weeks again. My daughter said she could tell that the swelling in my neck overnight after the treatment so that's a good thing.
They tell me the first treatment is the bad one and each one gets easier as I go. (I hope so).
For now, I'm tired and am going to lay down. I'm so glad to be home!!!
HUGE HUGS and thanks for all your prayers, and good vibes, I know they are helping.
Cher
