that chemo sounds.....interesting to say the least. Sounds like me on morphine after my girlie operation in '04. I loved everyone. The nurse would come in to check if I was ready to try and poo yet and I would tell her I love her. The doc came in. I loved him too. I loved everyone and everything. Nurses were cracking up.
My mom never reported anything like that. She did say she only got sick one time, because she ate something she shouldn't have. Docs were amazed. I can tell by your attitude that you are determined to get through this. And so my money is on you doing just that. Well, if I had any money after buying all these rocks and tumblers and grits and stuff.
See, attitude is one of the key components. I am convinced. My stepfather was dx'ed with lung cancer around the same time my mom was finishing up her treatments. He was dead within 6 months. He just kind of turned into himself. Of course, I also think karma chose then to catch upw ith him.

It sounds very much like how I was after a c-section. They gave me a 2 litre morphine solution and I was totally out of it for days, even though I wasn't hooked up to it any more. I'd be in the middle of a conversation and all of a sudden my head would plop down sleep, then I'd wake up a few seconds later and start talking about something totally different (just like grandpa Simpson). I'd play with the remote attached to my bed and say to my room mate "look my bed goes up and it goes down and it goes up and it goes down", for at least 10 minutes at a time. After it was finally out of my system, my room mate told me I was better entertainment then the TV LOL
Happy to hear your home and that your treatments went well Cher. I'll continue to have you in my thoughts

Welcome Home Cher! Glad to hear all is going smooth. There's nothing like your own bed to help you rest. Keep up the good spirits and God will do the rest!

Happy to hear that you are home and that the treatments have started. You have my best wishes!
Oh yes, the good old morphine button. I put that to good use after my surgery last May. I don't remember getting goofy, at least no one told me anything. My wife said that I would just get a big smile and fall asleep.

I just caught up with this thread so I'll just say "Get well 100% Cher!" That is the ONLY attitude to have.

Hey Cher, good to see you on here again. But you rest and take care of your self. Was so happy to see the bunny, knew you were back. I hope the rest of the treatments go much smoother. My thoughts and prayers will be with you, as I know everyone on this boards will be. Terry
