ok we took sands to the all you can eat seafood buffet but we brought y'all along for the ride too. click the thumbnails! the bogue phalia (pronounced in the south as fuh-lie) - if you want to find a large cottonmouth or a some big bullfrogs this is the place to go late at night in a small boat with a light turtles sunning on an old culvert pipe country road on the backside of beulah flooding the rice fields field of wheat beans or cotton - could be either not yet planted wild turkeys can you hear the dueling banjos? horses on the levee mississippi road block some got away before i could click the camera but this one stopped to check us out we want to go a little earlier next time and throw our poles in the water before we hit the restaurant. i guess y'all can see why i kept telling sands he couldn't get lost when he hit the delta as long as he stayed on the paved road and out of the fields lol. kim

That is so neat, great pics Kim. Sure don't need to worry about me, I've no use for cottonmouths or big bull frogs but I'd sure like to be down there wetting a line with you guys. Best catfish and hush puppies I ever had were down here McComb MS where I was visiting many years ago. Turds tried to take me snipe hunting but I knew all about them sneaky birds.

Love the roadblock. Hey, don't you guys have any mountains there? Damn, talk about flat land... You better not stay around there too much longer John, or you'll be running those two words "Ya all" together and making it one word, "Yaall"

mountains? we don't even have hills stoner. in the pics showing the slight elevation, we are on a man-made levee built to control river flooding. the entire ms delta is flat and flatter, fields and small dying towns.

Yea I bet you stand out like a sore thumb down there John. Once a city boy, always a city boy. When I worked at Lockheed, there was a guy I worked with from New York, the Bronx, and he never could lose that NY attitude.

watch out for them cottonmouths sands...they are mean critters...i stepped on 1..it bit me..i jumped..it jumped..it jumped to where i jumped..i stepped on it again...and it bit me again..3 days in the hospital i spent.
but the good news is..when i got out i went and had a big'ol batch of frog legs..and forgot all about the critter biting me...even though it was my fault for stepping on it in the first place.
so you go and find a big'ol batch of frog legs...and eat away...heck have 2 batches...and while your at it...make yourself try some pickled pig feet...hehehe...cant hurt can it?
