What a cutie... Earth... you and my mother must be kindred spirits because she loves those little Terriers... She gets the Rat Terriers but I honestly can't tell the differfence between the JRTs and the Rats... She's had at least 6 that I can think of. She just sent me a pic of another they are thinking of getting.
Glad to hear you got her... she's got a good home now.

Awww....they're precious! How sweet.
There's a reason my husband keeps me away from pet shops.
Maybe you can justify bringing her home by teaching her to sniff out rocks and dig them up like those truffle hunting pigs in Europe. ;D

LOL She's on your pillow!! She has taken over!! Good for her and congrats on giving another JRT a wonderful new life. I think she's in heaven at her new home and I bet Lacy is happy to share you guys with her. She's absolutely beautiful. She looks like a Parson JRT. (long legs)
Congrats you two!!!

Hey Jimmy, the kinship between man and dog is as natural as putting butter on bread. And of course, dogs are pack animals, and as such, they don't like to be alone. Much the same as man doesn't like to be alone. My experience, all pack animals are much happier if there are more members in their pack. Kind of like how we gather on this forum.
Ron
ps. Great looking terriers! You are one lucky guy.

Erb, I'm not soft! Lacy doesn't want anything to do with her right now. Lacy will come around real soon though. She has to protect her territory for now.

My boss has a Jack Russell - he's yappy as anything but a sweet dog nonetheless - he hangs off their labrador's ears!!

My daughter always wanted one but ended up with a great dane/st. bernard mix that grew to the size of a small pony. Talk about opposite. They are cute little critters for sure.

You are crazy.
That aside you are an animal lover and that is great in my book. We have 5 rescued animals (between dogs and cats) and 1 purebred Lab (a sweetheart). They are all great but the rescues always seem to be more grateful and loving. Good for you, what a cute pup.

My first bird was a cockatiel I found in the want ads. I went to look at him and his owner wanted to show me "the cutest thing." He said the bird and her pet pug liked playing together so she let the bird out of the cage and called the dog. The little dog jumped on the bird and the bird was trying to crawl away. I was horrified. The idiot woman said, "Isn't that cute!" Well that did it for me. I paid her $50 for the cage and all and he went to live to live with me where he never had to play with a dog again. She gave me his food which was full of moths and bugs. She bragged about how much she saved buying it 20 lbs at a time. That seed must have been around for years. I took him to an avian vet and the doctor said my little bird was so underweight that it was a miracle he was alive. And he was afraid of anything made of wood including perches and had no idea how to play with toys. So I worked and worked switching him to birdie pellets and veggies and teaching him how to play. His diet improved but he never did get the hang of the toys in his cage and he never ever trusted wood. But he was still a great little bird.
There's so many poor animals like him in the world but it takes a lot of work and it does get expensive. Mostly it takes a lot of love.
I applaud anyone that rescues unfortunate animals. They are so often over looked and they can't ask for help themselves.

I have to laugh... this reminds me of a story I heard once about a lady and her jack russel. I keep my ear out on jack russels because, even though we cant have any, Jeremy likes them, and I consider them the epitomy of "mighty dog". The story was...
This lady bought a jack russel, not knowing how hyper they were. After discovering this about her dog and filling in holes in her back yard over and over, she thought that if she got another dog, they would keep each other busy and wear each other out.... I probably dont need to continue, but of course, now the 1st dog digs holes deep enough to get buried under her neighbors yard and she has to dig it out while the other dog barks at the ground to tell her where he is... hahaha. She loves them both and wont get rid of them, but she tells her story as a warning to anyone buying Jacks!! "double trouble" they never wear out. I love that story.
