Finally, after renting the same hoise for 22 years($ wasted), my wife and I are buying our first house. HAPPY? We think so. We're scared more than anything right now. The thought of moving all our belongings is over-whelming and the thought of making the payments is terrifying. But with a little work, we can make this house our home. It's a 3br 1 bath house with a 2 car garage(in other words, I'll have plenty of room for my shop!). Here are a few pics. The front. The backyard. Kitchen Living Room Entry Escrow closes around June 15th so we have to get our butts in gear and start packing up our stuff. So I won't be around here very much and my cabbing will come to a grinding halt(pun intended). Wish us luck, we're going to need it!

I like a lot your house, Ed. I bet the home will be even more nice and warm. The green surroundings are also great! And that 2 cars garrage is awesome, great to have such a working space.
I've noticed that all the things in the house seem to double their volume during a moving action. So don't be surprised about that.
Good luck in your moving!
Adrian

That's wonderful Ed! I've no doubt you'll make that house a home in no time. Congrats on the biggest investment you'll ever make in your life! Looks awesome, even got room for guests perhaps? Enjoy, I'm sure you've earned it! Last

Hey Ed, that really looks great! Are you still in the SF area? My son lives in Roseville, down by Sacramento. I'm hoping to get out there again soon. Only problem is, I want to ride the bike there without using the expressways, and my wife doesn't like the idea of sleeping on the ground in a corn field. I'd like to see my son, but I'd also like to see some of the real America. Hope you and your's are doing well! Ron

Thanks everyone. This house is exactly what we were looking for. It's been well maintained, but not upgraded, which I can do most if not all of the work myself, and increase the value without doing any major remodel work. The kitchen cabinets and counters are the first to go. They are the original cabinets and are pretty funky inside. I can build new cabinets and get granite tiles(my daughter works for a tile place) and have a new kitchen for less than $3000. It's going to be fun once we get moved!
Ron, I'm still here in San Jose so if you ever do make it out to Roseville, make sure you let me know, because like was noted above, we have room for guests, and I'd love to finally meet you in person.

Congratulations on your new home. Lots of green. No desert at all. You can always come out here to the land of no trees, and brown landscape.

Thanks Jamie. Will you fly up here to do the work? That'd be cool. Hey Gil, there is a little patch of brown grass in the backyard, I'll keep that as my desert area! Thanks for all the wishes.
