Hi all! I took my first wire wrapping class a couple of weeks ago and love it! I've always admired wire wrapping so much, and am thrilled that I was able to do it. Here are a couple I've done since then, on my own cabs that I did. Finally, something to do with my cabs! I still remember the magic I felt when I was a kid, and finishing my first cycle of rock tumbling!! LOVE rocks, always have. Dee

That OJ wrap is way too cool. Looks like the stone is being cradled in it's own little basket. Dee-welcome to our world & let the madness begin!

Dee, I don't think that magic ever goes away. I still feel it when I am washing and inspecting stones, even from the coarse barrel. You do nice work with the wires, and will only get better as you go along. Nice to have you aboard here.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes, Jack, it's OJ - I LOVE Ocean Jasper. I mostly cab with Jasper and Agate...no super expensive stones for me yet! The bottom one is a Remy tutorial I purchased, and it has only 2 ends, because it's one wire that goes around and around a chosen form. No affiliation, other than I love her work! I paid $7 and downloaded it right away. It's here: www.studioheath.com/tutorials.php It was perfect to show off the crystals on top! I think I'll try it with any shape, but I'm not sure how it'll work. I'll post a pic of what I get! Dee

That heath woven pendant also has to have a TON of silver wire. Ya don't make money on those but dang they are funky!

Thanks! Heres another shape I did in the basket weave last night on another stone I did the night before. It's a fun wrap, and it doesn't take a whole lot of silver! I sold the round OJ pendant to a woman for $58. It's the first one I've ever sold, I was so psyched!! dee

That's so cool... Congrats on the sale! I just have to say again that I'm really impressed with your work. I love the graceful lines.... and the bail treatment.
BTW - Kim (rockyracoon) is one of outstanding wire wrap artists on this board (IMHO)... you should be proud!!
