Okay, it's a new year and the time is up for entries. I'll set up the poll for the voting and you can vote for the best name. Stay Tuned! Hi all, and Merry Christmas. Well as promised, I'm having a special Christmas contest. I'm not sure how this is going to work, but I think it can be a lot of fun. Here is a slab of Apache Chrysocolla, 3 3/4" x 3". There's a lot of different scenes and/or objects that can be seen on it. Use your imagination and come up with a name, either for the entire slab or any part of it. I will pick 8-12 of the best names, depending on how many responses I get, and put those names up for you to vote on, much the same as when naming a cab. I will cut the entire slab into cabs and the winner will recieve all the cabs. Same rules will apply, one name per person, if you change your mind, start a new post letting me know that you have changed your mind, in case of a tie, I'll send half the cabs to each winner. Bear with me on this one, It's a little different than usual but I think it should work. So here's the slab. I'll take names until next Sunday, 12/31 at the stroke of midnight, PST. Well Ed I suck at this but one thing I DO see is a grass fire right on the bottom!!
Also a sphinx with sunglasses and a sad frown on the bottom left.
Damned if I can see a frog though!! LOL

I change my mind. I see a big bear wearing a baseball cap sitting down and grinding a cab in the mountains  It is as plain as day to me LOL. I want to name it Grinding Bear |
