Amy Okay, I'm getting pelted with PMs about this Road Trip Amy wants to organize! Seems like no one wants to just settle for pix. They all want the real deal! I've talked it over with Bob and he says it's okay with him. We guess any of you who want to visit could use one of our spare bedrooms. They would be the ones to the left--that's our master bedroom on the right... There shouldn't be any trouble feeding all of ya. We have a nice wide open dining area. Don't mind Little Bessie. She's real friendly with strange people. Now we might have a problem with accomodating all of your personal hygiene needs. As long as y'all promise not to be peeking in on one another, these should work... The master bathroom... and a real nice personal shower... So if y'all want ta come on over and pick up your prizes real personal like, just let us know and we'll get to fixing up the beds for ya, real nice! Lady B |

You can't intimidate me! Growing up, all of our vacations were camping in tents and we broke droughts. I do not fear the smell of a moldy sleeping bag, or mosquito bites on my bottom! Where do I put the quarter in the shower for the hot water? Hope there aren't any BIG bugs in Florida.  You should see the spiders I just found at the bottom of my street when I was trying to see if there were rocks in the natural drainage culvert....  Truth, justice, and the American Way - hand over those prizes to those who have earned them or we're invading!! And remember, for giving us all that shock on the General Rocks Board, I'm demanding that you post winners on Thursday, instead of Friday. That way the winners will have some advance warning to pack and make their transportation reservations to sunny Florida. Adrian, you might need to book a flight now. Harry, too. Any others over the ocean(s)? |

Call that hardship LadyB! Luxury, When I wer' a lad we'd be up ut 4am ta shuvle aht muk, then off darn't pit for a 20 ahr shift, then bak ome to an 'ole int graand! - and we wus grateful! .... (Monty Python quote - fell free to one-up me!) And I particularly like the vegetarian option on the menu! It's good to see all our tastes have been catered for! I must admit the facilities appear a little spartan, but at least the loo has a roof! So I'm not complaining!  Amy - Why did you have to mention bugs! I don't like em much - especially spiders!  And now LadyB knows - well I'm wondering what we might see next! I'm sleepin under the stars - your welcome to the guest room! Chuckle Chortle - Slightly Cringing! Blarney and Sabre - Anyone know how to light a fire? I'm sure once we get the kettle on it'll be home from home for us hardened camper types! 5 star full service all the way What are we waiting for?! John - That's a cracker mate! Good photo and excellent comment I liked that one! Adrian - I'll pick you up along the way Sir, can 'ya get to the coast? it's only a little pond - well on my map anyway! Mr Dewey - I'm afraid 'ya missed the boat see?! I figure if we're in this - we're in it together - besides - safety in numbers (outhouse in singles however). Adrian and Harry - I'll be more than happy to load your buckets if you can't lift your arms - and I promise not to just put sand in yours! The tents like right nice - though like all the modern neighborhoods here, right on top of each other. One is likely to take an elbow to the head by their neighbor in the middle of the night if not careful. As for the buffet Kate is offering, I'll bring a herding dog to keep the locals out of the way. I'll try to explain to her (the herder) that Harry and Adrian can't play frisbee with her after she does her work because...well, they aren't from around here and boy are their arms tired. I think we'll all get along just fine - especially with that ever growing rock pile of Kate's for us to pick through. Oh, don't worry about any fancy linens - anything over 400 thread count is fine with me. |

Theres so many meseges floatin round this site I had ta get me one of them GPS thangs to find um all!
Now bout them ocomadasions I reely don't see what the fuss is about them.
I just been ah hopin ole Kate envites me and all my kin so's we can have us a reel nee slappin time with y'all.
Wheel even bring one of them there Mont Gumery Ward catilogs fer takin care of the bisness end of a good dump!

I have just received this rather unsettling message from Mr. Thadius Dewy, Esq.: I find I must refute, rebut, and reject such a statement!!! We here in Florida have become expert at counting votes. Adrian - That sounds like a meeting mate! It'll be good to have a paddle buddy, I'd be going round in circles otherwise! Your poem on LadyB's Hotel was charming, a midnight raid on the rock pile - sounds like the best plan yet! And the facilities do appear to be copious, although a little draughty. OneWomanArmy - We were really looking forward to a game of frisbee, but I'm sure our arms will be strained after sifting the rock pile all night! Thanks for the help with the buckets, I don't think we'd manage without a helping hand! Thanks Catmandwe - you need to get one of them creek heaters buddy! I use one all the time Connrock! All Dawgs Welcome - as OWA pointed out - saftey in numbers hey! Them thar GPS thingamies really are sophistamacated, I hope you got time show me how to work one! Oh - Did I forget to ask?
