Excellent scoring Susan! Congratulations and Well Done! It was a brilliant contest - Mel's method of turning the answers on their head was inspired - really cranked the difficulty level up! I enjoyed the time pressured element (Thanks Susan! That was some impressive first entry there!) And have learnt an immeasurable amount about the varieties, locations and most interestingly, the formation of gemstone jaspers and agates. The feedback supplied by Mel throughout the contest was great - thanks for the handy hints and freindly encouragement. It was wonderful folks, congratulations to all who entered, and Thanks for all the fun! Can't wait to see those babies all cabbed up! Cheers, Harry.

Ah, I had the places listed instead of a type. Ex. what are places to find jaspers in California rather than California jaspers.
I would like to thank all my fellow contestants for a job well done. This was a very difficult contest and we all deserve a pat on the back for our hard work. I think Susan needs her # of posts bumped up so she has the "Rock God" slogan under her name. She definitely deserves the title.

Awesome contest - I came upon it too late to enter (not that it would have mattered anyway ) but have enjoyed watching the last couple duke it out. In the ever so polite way of duking it out that we have here at RTH of course! Congrats Susan! Those were some tough ones! It would have taken me forever to put all those together!

Thanks, Mel for the opportunity to obtain some of your precious poppy jaspers. I enjoyed the research and found a lot of agate sites I hadn't seen before in the process.

Congratulations Susan, you definitely earned the prize. Thanks Mel for the challenging contest. Love the last answer, I wondered why you just called the first superior, when everyone else calls them Lakers. I should have spent more time during the day trying to answer rather than late at night LOL

RedwoodRocks, the official name is Lake Superior agates. Lakers is just a nickname. Tony M (the burgeoning agate expert) ;D
