If you plan on coming in November for the Fall RTH Arizona Trip, please RSVP here as soon as you can so I can make preparations for the amount of people that will be attending. This is very important.

Also, I am posting pictures of Burro Creek right now, we just got back yesterday. I wanted to get pictures of all of the areas where the agate fields are and of the campsite and surrounding landscape. Please take a look if you have the time. Thanks a bunch....

I have people asking questions that I need to answer and it would really help if all of you could PM me with your travel plans as far as the trip goes. I really need to know who will be flying in and who plans on driving here so arrangements can be made for transportation from the airport in Phoenix. So far it looks like me and one of my central valley rockhounding buddies will be coming. We usually just sleep in our trucks or use a tent . Shouldn't need anything much as we're pretty self contained. Jamie, I'll PM you closer to the time....Mel

Jamie, i am planning on the 1-4th for sure. And will be driving. talk with banjo but unsure if they will make it. He siad he should be able for 1day, but nothing is set in stone yet.

I am still up in the air, IF my oldest gets his leave before being sent to Iraq it will be during that time so I will be staying home. But IF that changes I will be there. Wish I could say for certain either way and I know this does not help, just letting you know.

OK. I am committed. I just bought a ticket.
I think I will be offering some rocks for sale over the next few months so I can get some $$ for the trip. Watch the buy-sell board - likely to be great deals! I promised myself I would do this trip w/o taping my savings.
Hey just sold some old coins for over $200, so my ticket is more than half covered.

But that should help Sheri, nothing holding you there now girl. Why don't you come back to stay for good, like you said you were doing before you escaped from Arizona while I was on vacation? That was a dirty trick, LOL!! I came home to an empty state. It was nice having another person that was as hardcore as I am to hunt with. I could call her every day and ask her if she wanted to go hunt rocks somewhere, the answer was always YES! Then she snuck back to Texas! Is snuck a word?

I'm planning on going. I'm on board for at least the first half of trip. My wife won't be coming along, just me. I've been trying to get her to come but he eyesight isn't the best and she doesn't want to just sit around the campsite while everyone is off rock hunting. I'll PM you once we make our plane reservations.

Steve, Ask Mailman about his trip to WWR, he brought his wife and she wasn't really into hunting for rocks either but she had a great time. I doubt anyone will be away from the group campsite for more than a couple of hours at a time, except for Mel of course, he is hard core. The agates are so plentiful, it doesn't take long to fill up a 5 gallon bucket at any of the spots we collect at. Will she be staying in Cottonwood then? If you are driving from Cottonwood, please let me know and I will make you a map so you can hit all of the spots I know of between Cottonwood and Burro Creek.

hey steve i doubt very much if the campsite will be compleatly empty at any time of this trip i know i cant take too much wit my back so i fig ill hunt till i burn out and sit back and rest for awile haha -- so im sure there will be company for your better half so tell her to come -- hey it will be great just gettin out in nature for a few days
hey guys i was talkin wit jamie and we gotta fig out how to list our routes to the park so maybe we can pick up some hitch hikers on the way that need a ride and have offered to share the driveing and cost to get there ----- anybody got any ideas----- as soon as i can get an address of the park or one close ill program my truck gps and ill be able to list my route here and anybody standin on the side of the road wit a rock hammer can ride wit me hahaha -- i can fit three in the cab and a few in the back if ya dont mind ridin there it has a cap so ya wont be in the wind -- shout out any ideas how to get this together

Does anyone know how to post an interactive map here on the board? I have people coming to the fall get-together that will be driving and they are coming from back east, the midwest and both coasts so for those of you that would like to come but can't afford all of the expenses, it might be possible for you to ride with another RTH member if I can get everyone to post their locations.
