I don't have a problem with people coming here to work or live, just don't break the law. Come over here they way the law says and the government needs the balls to enforce the laws! These people get free health care, pay no taxes, a some get free room and board. -- i stole this haha
when my ancestors came to America they came on a boat and they stood in line and they signed in and they made an attempted to speak English and they worked to become American citizens and they made there own way and most even paid tax's haha -- they didn't sneak over the boarder in the dead of nite cheat the system by not paying tax's eat up as much free stuff as they can ((that we the American citizens are paying for with our tax's and cant even get for our own kids because theres nothing left)) and then demand that we fly the Italian flag and speak Italian and give them everything from food to school and free medical so they could make as much as they can and not give anything back to the country
lets all be honest with this most illegal aliens are here for the free stuff and to get over and anybody who thinks diff are living in a fantasy world

A few years ago, I was thinking about buying an Indian to put between my legs, she was an old bag though. She looked great, with big 'ole headlights and a nice tail section. When I thought about buying that Indian sweetie, I thought I could just use her and ride her for a while then unload the old bag to another biker. It's just to darn hard to get parts for an old Indian Chief motorcycle....

This pretty much describes why we should not tolerate discrimination for any reason. These people are real, and they are out there. All we can hope is that we can help people not become one of them.

Wanting people to obey the law is not discrimination. I don't even know why discrimination was brought into this disscussion. It has been said over and again that there is no problem with immigration, just do it legally.

Discrimination was brought into this thread in the first post. Calling someone a Wetback in my opinion is a racial slur, this is not about people obeying laws. Can you honestly say that there is nothing wrong with the statements on the signs Tom posted pictures of? Rebelrose said she can't get a job because she isn't fresh out of high school, that sounds like discrimination also.

Hmm. I think the signs are provocative and I'm sure what I'm gonna say is going to piss off a lot of folks but, at least here in California where we are butt deep in "illegal immigrants", I'm sure the thoughts resonate with a lot of folks. Problem here is lots of folks come here looking for work and when they can't find it, they start committing crimes. Something like 80% of our county jail inmates are illegals and cost $40,000 per year to the taxpayers to keep them in jail. The illegals can't drive worth a damn and drive drunk constantly and don't carry car insurance or have licenses. They overrun our hospitals ( have bankrupted and closed down several of our emergency rooms) and drive up the insurance costs of the folks who buy insurance (mine has risen from $50 to $177 per period in the last two years and mine is company subsidized). Last time I went for a flu shot I waited in a huge line of illegals at the County health department. When I got to the front I was asked if I had insurance. I said yes but it doesn't cover immunizations. The clerk said " Well, you have insurance so that'll be $50. Every one of the illegals was free and I'm the one that's been paying into all the systems all my working life. Last spring at the ranch my wife got sick and we were out of area for our insurance. Cost us almost $200 for the office visit. Reason it costs so much. All the illegals get it free and we have to cover hospital expenses. Our kids can't get a decent education because all classes have to be dumbed down for illegals and they are disruptive. Gangs are running rampant and those gangs are smuggling in drugs and selling to kids. And, to top it off, they are crapping up our cities with grafitti and their friggin midden culture where they throw out litter everywhere and destroy neighborhhoods. Most of what we get are the uneducated dregs of foreign societies which will eventually drag us all down. I'm all for "Legal" Immigration where we can control the flow and make sure we get folks who will improve our society. And for all you do gooders who don't agree with this, check out all the other countries including Mexico, the worst offender. They screen all their immigrants to make sure the process is done correctly and they get good folks. Oh, and another thing. I retired from almost 30 years with the Agricultural Department and did lots of field inspections of produce being picked. For the information of all those who think field workers don't make good money, in most cases I, the one with the college education, was the lowest paid individual in the field. The work is hard but pays well, that's why the illegals want to come up and work. And shoot, the stupid Americans pay for educating and medicating their enormous numbers of kids so shoot, looks like a fine deal for them.

PS: As an aside to show you how other countries work, a friend of mine who is a blue eyed blond and married to a red headed guy has the last name, "Jose". She applied to immigrate to Australia and was turned down after they read her last name which is actually German. The Aussies don't want no Hispanics I guess!
PPS: For more doubters, drive down to Mexcio, whup out your spray can and spray "F- You Mexicans" on the side of a well kept store, have lunch and change your oil in the parking lot and throw the cans and papers on the ground, and while your at it, take a piss in the flowers in front of their women folks. Then after the police finish knocking out your teeth and if your lucky, you bribe your way out of jail, you can come on back up here and badmouth America after you finish kissing the ground. We'll still respect your right to say whatever you want.

I looked at the signs again. You're right there are 2 references to wetbacks. My apologies. I looked at the content of the signs, not for racial slurs. I stick by my first post when I said for the [most part, they are correct.
I feel Rebelrose's pain. I'm 58 years old and have heart problems. Think anyone is going to hire an old fart like me? Nobody wants to find an old geezer lying in the floor dead, messing up the place.
I don't feel like it's discrimination. I feel like the companies are making what they think is the best choice for their company. The government telling companies to hire people that aren't qualified for the job is just wrong.
This IS the land of opportunity. I see it every day. I for one couldn't get hired so I started my own business. A friend of mine has a Mexican wife. She moved here when she was 18. Couldn't speak a word of English. She got a job washing dishes at a restaurant. Worked her butt off and learned to speak English. She was promoted to waitress. Worked her butt off as a waitress and was promoted to manager of the restaurant. If she hadn't gotten married, I feel very sure she would own a restaurant by now.
You have a choice peoples. What will your choice be?

Hold on!... ....I come in peace! ;D well not sure who's going to win this one .. but.. I do however agree with them becoming legal.. But America is to blame.. not them.. Who hires them? it's America.. some small business wanting to make an extra buck so he can get ahead of the game and drive a better car.. build a better house.. and then turn around and get mad...LOL.. how I see it.. here in PHX.. over 80% of the lettuce pickers are Illegal.. I haven't ever drove past one field yet and seen a white chic out there ... or a white guy.. nope honestly all I've ever seen were Mexicans and not one spoke english..... who's fault? They don't know how to drive.. and yes the Ghettos' are trashy.Did you know there was a law here that they finally changed.. it was a code the cops followed that they couldn't turn in the Illegal Immigrants.. yup .. now they are to enforce this law.. BUT.. only if they are turned in.. LOL like that is going to work. so far nothing has changed.. why? because they use them here .. why don't people see that??.. . and who allows them into the Hospitals? Last time I was in I had to prove my citizenship... with a birth certificate and a social security card.. how is it they don't ? My father was a CI.. those that committed murder.. sure they would serve time.. but otherwise.. they were deported.. just to come back.. if they made it.... those schools last I heard had to have citizenship to attend.. ... dummied down.. that's because America has Dummied down over the past Generations.. and now the kids are all Dummied down.. Blame our Government for that one.. We are so in over our heads it isn't funny.... I'm saying the HATE.. will only cause two things...
