Imagine a country that is not united under one Ultimate Authority or God.

Imagine a country divided into dozens of different speaking cultures that hate each other.

Imagine that these sub cultures do not trust the government, the courts or police.

Imagine a country with a media that dwells on ever bad incidence, crime or mistake that ever happens and rarely mentions anything good.

Imagine a school system that teaches the next generations, that they are descended from animals and there is no God.

Imagine a country whose family units are driven apart by abuses of alcohol, drugs, pornography, power, control...and the children that suffer the consciences.

Imagine how hopeless and self centered the citizen of this country would be.

Imagine that this country is the absolute best place in the world to live.

And it can be much, much better.

anyways I think my neighbor has the answer to gopher problems.. His boy well shouldn't say boy.. dude stands about 6'5.. seriously .. anyways they get inside those buggy thingys and drive all over their yard.. and I don't see one gopher around our block.. so.. i'm guessing it's your own fault for planting all the goodies they like.. uh huh..and the pond.. hell they got it made. but I loved the idea of cussing them out.. I'm sure that helped LOL

OK, here I go. I live in a small little town. We are pretty tolerant, or at least I would like to think so. We have a fairly large Hispanic population. We also have kids who have been adopted from many countries.

We also have some LEGAL emmigrants, who have been having a hard time.

What's up with that? Why on earth does it take so long for LEGAL folks to set it all right?

We also have some non-legal immigrants who ARE causing some problems. Who sells them cars? Jeez all Friday! They get cars. They can't get licenses, they can't get insurance, they cause problems, they have no driving skills, they have fender benders, they can't pay for the damages....

I know, small issues. But, those same illegals also pull very heavily on our local food pantry. And our small school system (we have had to hire special teachers, implement special programs). And our local merchants' unemployment. (You find out someone is illegal, you fire them, they can pull unemployment, which your local merchants have to pay for!)
And our local health and human services system. And our local court system.
Yep, they get pulled over. Yep, they are assessed fines. Nope, they can't pay. Yep, they can get a court appointed lawyer to fight those fines. Yep, the county pays for that.

I have no problem, whatsoever, with people who want to live here and work here and become a part of the community. We have many people who have done that, are doing that, and are wonderful additions to our community.

But, I do have a problem with people who do things illegally, and still expect all the perks of living in the USA.

I also realize that the Native American population has a very legitimate claim! I mean, really!! Europeans came here, took over, and now... Native Americans are usually equated as second class citizens. On a par with all the illegals.... I think that is wrong!

IF the USA is going to 'absorb' every race, creed and color, which it seems we are doing.... I think we should give just a little more preference to the original races, creeds and colors.

I don't have all the answers, just some opinions. So isn't that what the USA is all about?

I did appreciate SOME of those signs. I did think some were terrible! But, I have to wonder. Where else could you post those signs??? Without being beheaded or something? So those signs caused a furor! That's great! It made us all think, and perhaps reaffirm our beliefs!

I don't think that's a bad thing.

Have you thought of putting nets over the holes then flooding the holes?

How about take your stereo outside, set the speakers on the ground amidst the gopher holes, then crank-up some Iron Maiden. Of course, that's when you and a couple dozen of your neighbors open fire on the little vagrants as they scurry from the holes.

If you wanna get real nasty ... bleach and ammonia. Pour one down the hole, then the other. They combine to make a deadly gas. Once the varmints are dead, flush the holes with water to leach the chemicals down, and cover the holes with dirt.

More nasties ... if the holes are in dirt, not an area with vegetation, you can use the old fire ant remedy, gasoline and fire. Always ignite from a safe distance ... as far away as possible.

Hold on I come in peace.. You really do need to read that... yeah I did say that I had a sign .. "I GOT A SIGN FOR PEOPLE LIKE THAT!" I was talking about people who Hater who wrote the signs...... and another I don't believe in god..... if god blessed America.. I don't think we would be hating one another on the streets.. or we'd be in debt.. or This country would be in the state it is in.... so there's my "pppffft" came in from.. sorry if you mistook that.. I did apologize.. and will again.. I have no problem with that.. My one finger could of been the thumbs up and nobody would of say a damn thing.. but yeah.. Hey Roxy, I didn't even know you were gone. I did notice your name change colors though. There sure have been some odd things going on with the site since this format change. Folks appear and disappear. PMing seems to not work sometimes and yesterday I kept getting a Proboards ad every time I tried to log on. Anyway, if you was gone Rox, welcome back *S*....Mel
