Google Sketch Up is a free download and as long as you are working in two dimensions its a great substitution for an expensive CAD package.
I have one of the orginial sets of these templates from quite a while ago. personally, I would rather they be on clear material rather than the green I have. I'll gladly buy another set if you can make them from clear.

Missed it, too! Please add my name to the list for the next set! Please PM me for my private email address as I'm not on RTH as much as I'd like right now! Susan

I wold be interested also. Interesting enough, I got a set of the green ones and the first thing I thought when I saw them was, "I wish I could see through these for positioning purposes.

Lots of really good ideas here. Sounds like the semi-transparent plastic is the winner! I'm sure Adrian must be close to filling a couple of sheets with all the ideas submitted. I need to PM Adrian and see if we can get these going. Everyone who has asked for a set has been put on a list and will get one! Please have patience, as I have a limit due to the cost, of 10 sets at a time and about 15 people so far wanting them with Adrian and I getting the first 2 sets. Thanks to everyone who submitted ideas, and those who didn't complain when the saw their ideas submitted by others.............. Steve

OK, I've done them! Here are the 4 sheets. In the first pic, there are the old sheets where I added the stars (the normal five-points star together with Steven's "soft star". The second picture shows the new sheets. I tried to add as many ideas of yours as I could, I hope you find them in the pictures. Please check them out and see if you like them or if you really want me to add another shape or two (but I think this requires to remove other shapes from the sheets). Also keep in mind that the pictures above are uglier than the real shapes, the lines and curves will be smooth. Thanks for looking, for your ideas and for help, Adrian

Sweet I love the shapes. I just started cabbing and I really like the curvy shaped cabs. For the two that I have done I spent quite a while hand drawing the shapes.
Also does anybody have an idea how much these are going to cost?

The cost will be around $25 plus postage. The laser cutter, bclaserworks.com, has asked to check the cost of semi-transparent material before bidding the sets Adrian has posted. A set of templates is 12 pieces, just like I have posted on page 1, only the shapes will be different....... Steve

Just keep me on the list and let me know when you need the cash, payPal or what ever. They look 'Killer' to me! Thanks for all the effort.

UPDATE.... Order going to the laser cutter today! I'm ordering 10 sets each of the drawings Adrian posted on page 4. I will have a few extra sets of the first templates and all the new sets have been spoken for. As soon as I can turn over the money in my pay-pal, I will re-order and get everyone taken care of. The first of the 'new' design will go out to; Steve Holmes, Jurrasic Jonie, Hardrock Cafe, Woodyrock, Boldergal, Wolfden,Larry, Hope, Adrian & myself. I have Frane & Rougetrader down for the first, 'original' set along with Adrian & myself. There will be 6 more of this set available this first round, so send me a PM if your interested. Everyone who has contacted me, and not mentioned here, 'is' on a list for the next round and will get these templates just as soon as I can. All of the templates will be cut from a semi-transparent plastic this time.
Thanks to everyone who submitted ideas and Adrian for all the CAD work. Steve
