Dan, This was a sensational thread!! Great material, tutorial, and workmanship! I really enjoyed watching the progression of this group from the begining slabs step-by-step, culminating in some museum quality cabs. Thanks for sharing! That was really interesting about the scratches coming from the old galvanized pipe. Are you a faceter too?

Unbelievable, HPD! That White Rind Bruneau is my favorite, I think. But I'd not kick a single one of them out of bed for eating chips!

I have no hope of ever cabbing as well as you do or using such fantastic material but I'm hoping someday to get better photos. Yours are worthy of your cabs. Amazing job on all of them. No way I could ever pick a favorite. Your circles are perfect too.

Are you a faceter too? Garry I am thinking about getting into faceting, but don't do it yet. I'm joining a local club and will be taking some faceting/silver-smithing classes. I'd love to start faceting sunstones and Opal Butte opal.
