Dee, that's beautiful! I'm saying the same as Jo. I love the bead accents and the two different wires brings out the colors in the wings.

Okay, it's finished. It was HARD for me to do something symmetrical, being the off-center kind of gal I am! lol! I'll be sending it out sometime this week back to Lori. It's been fun, and hopefully will be enjoyed by someone!

My word Dee, that is one butterfly showing in all it's splendor. Someone is going to be very lucky indeed.

Really nice work on these everyone. Fun to see the different interpretations on the theme. I'm really impressed with Chris Perez's effort here mostly because he's only been wrapping for a short time.... They are all impressive though. Nice work!

My butterfly suffered a mishap when I was packing it up. If you look at my wrap, you'll notice a flaw in my design. I designed thinking the glue would stay in place...but it sadly didn't. The body of the poor creature gave way sometime while I was at my sister's house over the weekend. So when I picked the poor critter up to send it along, the green body fell out of the wrap.
I'm going to reglue tonight, but I'm going to have to revise my wrap. It was looking rather plain compared to it's buddies anyway!

Wow, Dee! When I made that butterfly, I never envisioned anything so beautiful could be created to enhance it. You did a superb job of making it outstanding. I'm impressed, and I am not easily impressed with weaving. This piece is an exception. Ken

Well Dee, Lori never said it had to look like a butterfly ..... Yours looks great too Dee, The weaving, wrapping, and colors makes it look so whimsical.... Awesome job, you have way more patience than me ! Akansan, at least you found the body.... can't wait to see your revisions. ( although it does look good as it is ) And everyone.... Thank you so much, seriously, for the opportunity and comments. I never though I'd be passing my time by wrapping little stones into pendants I'd never wear .

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone! Especially Ken, since you created the stone butterfly! It really feels good to know that you felt I did it justice. I'll get it in the mail on Monday back to Lori! I'm sorry about your mishap, Akansan, I know you'll be inspired as you play with it for the revision! Chrisp, it seriously looks like you're a pro with wrapping already! A butterfly is a very challanging piece to wrap for experienced folks!

My butterfly is finished, but I must say, I'm not sure I like it. I made it so it's wings will move, but it's not really tickling my fancy. I'm going to look at it a little more and may revise it. I'll let you know, but it should be on it's way soon. Tigger

I was home with the stomach flu today and had time to wrap the butterfly. This was more difficult than I expected it to be, mostly because the stone pieces were uneven...it was a challenge! I took the butterfly apart before wrapping it (it came glued together) in Sterling silver, pre-twisted wire. I tried to make it kinda funky and fun, a happy butterfly... :PS

Wow, Wycked! Looks like a starburst-ing butterfly! A very joyful wrap indeed! The wire and the patterns in the stone all come together~ I can't wait until Lori can take a pic of all the butterflies. Such an assortment of wrappers we are! (ps - I'll get to the PO soon, but I'm staying out of the thunderstorms today!)

I just reread your post. You wrapped this while you had the stomach flu? You must have super human creative energy.
I hope you are getting over it quickly.
