Now Lee you have to remember she is blond. lol She is just so excited about the idea she wants to push it up to next week. It will certainly be fun and we should set the date soon so everyone who wants to come can reserve that weekend.

Looks like about 6 hours for me. Maybe I can get my husband in on this one. I put the first selection but really, either is fine and I will just plan around it. Fran

After Easter would be my choice because it still snows from time to time...and Binghamton is not the easiest place to drive around when it does. ..been there done that. Any particular reason for that choice??? I had a client there a few years ago and found it to be off the beaten path with no redeeming qualities.

Hubby and I would be interested. After easter would be my choice, as well.
I just made my first trip to Binghamton a couple of weeks ago. My in-laws have a place in Appalachin. While pretty, there's absolutely NOTHING to do there.

I figured Binghamton because it's somewhat central for us and my car probably wouldn't make it much further. I86 & I81 cross there. It's not really out in the middle of nowhere. There might be a rock, gem, mineral show there the week end we go (was talking to Amber about that). We might hook up with local rock clubs like in Syracuse and PA for that. After Easter is tax time, I'd rather blow my money before then Nothing to do? The main reason for this is to meet fellow RTHers. Make sure you vote! Thanks, Lee

I put my vote in and keeping my fingers crossed for no snow, no kids soccer and the car is running good. It is good to have something to look forward to. Thanks for starting this.

Yeah a secluded place with no people might be a good thing when all us crazy rockers get together!

Turnedstone - I'll be at Flint Ridge like I've been there the last 8 or so years...near the pavilion...rocks, tee shirts, and didjeridus.
Amber, we could move it a little north for Herkimer diamonds. We have a couple months to talk about it.

There doesn't appear to be any Herkimer mines open in March.

Just stumbled onto this thread. About 6.5 hours for me, but would be interested depending on my work situation at the time.
