Somethin’ ain’t right there, L.L.
The usual blade that comes with the saw is pretty damn good. A little on the thick side and kinda coarse, but it takes a lot of abuse. I’m still on the original blade after 2 ½ years. (Btw, you can also use it to clean up tumbling rough, using the side of the blade as a grinder.)
Is your blade that noticeably worn after one session?

I think I was a little rough on it or something last night and it just glazed over a bit. I cut some brick on it today to clean the blade and it seems to be just fine.

Rich, I think some of the newer versions of this saw are coming out with cheaper stock blades on them. The sideband on my stock blade was only 3/8" wide and it made about 35-40 full cuts before it refused to cut anymore. I was cutting small slabs off near the cut depth limit for most of it and I probably could have gone a little easier on it and it would have lasted a bit longer but I honestly expected to get a bit more out of it, even if it is only an $18 blade. I have yet to see how my new blade cuts but for $40 you better believe i'm going to be taking it pretty easy on the new one.

Well, I have gone and bought a second WF saw, I decided I needed another one so I can slab with the newest Hotdog and grind/shape with a nearly worn out blade on the other saw. The WF is my only Lapidary tool, besides my tumbler. Also, I read about some concerns with the new model, I was glad to see that they had a couple old ones left tucked back under thr shelves.

Been a while since anyone got a saw. But Paul (Rockrookie) picked up the slack with #126.
Just in time to cool off this summer. ;D "Know what ah mean, Vern?"

Sitnwrap - You might have the oldest WF on the board . . . four years before Stefan's, even!

I don't know if I've been counted in the census, but I got my WF a few months ago. It's fantastic! I've started shaping cabs on it.

The census taker gotcha back in June, Indigo. He's a sneaky bastard. ;D ;D You're #127 - see page 1 of this thread. Are you finishing off the cabs in a tumbler? . . . don't forget the pics Rich

Typical - no action for a couple of months, then a whole bunch around Xmas. Now that Home Depot no longer stocks the WF, time to put this list to bed. Anybody sneak one under the radar? . . . Be nice to hit 150. Rich

Sorry, missed this thread. Got my WF back in November and killed the blade in January. Yeah, I was rough on it. Been through two more blades since then. And that's only cutting on the 40 degree and above days since...
Just got my order in for 3 Hot Dog blades last week. That should last me another month, or 6. LOL. Jo

Well, I bought one of the old style saws at HD a couple of weeks ago. Still too cold to use it, though.

Just saw this post. I got a W/F saw a few months ago because of all the great things said about it, I just haven't used it yet. When I get a place set up in my basement or when the weather warms up, whichever comes first, I plan on enjoying it. Don

Do Huskies count?
I wasn't happy with the reservoir tray on the earlier models of WF, so I paid a little more for a 7" Husky, but it was from Home Depot. RTH members should get shares, or a kick back.
The newer WF sounds like they have improved the reservoir tray. I have cut hundreds of "mini-slabs" (2" to 3" max) and am still on the first blade.
More members should be encouraged to buy a wet tile saw when they are ready for their next piece of equipment ... after a rotary and vibe, that is.
