Oh man did I luck out this weekend at the Sterling Mine! There was a rock swap going on and one of the stand holders had a sign that said used lapidary equipment so he took me over to an old barn with lots of stuff!!! Well he pulled something aside and Fran and I almost died, there was a Genie! So I asked how much, and he said a buck and a quarter, and I am thinking $1025, so I said $125 and he said yes and I said sold!!!! I could tell the wheels looked good and I need 4 new wheels, so I thought even if it is shot it is worth it, well turns out it is in really good shape!!! Here it is all sad and dirty, it has a few minor flaws After a nice warm bath, LOL, turns out it is missing a geyser and the water trays and needs a new end pad, my acrylic frames worked fine for water trays my aquarium pump block worked so so for now, but man that thing fired up and I was amazed!!! It is so quiet!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wrote John today at Jsgems and he is hooking me up with the parts I want for under $200 including a diamond end plate to finally be able to flat lap. Gosh I love this thing, what a difference compared to my machine, so here are the first cabs we knocked out really quick to try it out last night! Pietersite $1 piece at rock show Don't know what this is, maybe Chilean lapis also $1 and regular Afghanistan lapis, a $1 piece I bought a big chunk from this guy and it looks pretty nice really dark and pretty. OK gotta go pet my Genie, I love her, she is so special!!!!!! I love Sterling Mine for having it!!!!!! Amber

Amber, you did great and I am glad there wasn't much wrong with it! It was so funny! I said Amber look, it is a geni! She said how much and while the guy was saying buck and a quarter and I was trying to figure out the "code", Amber said OK, I will buy it for $125? He said sold. That has to be the deal of the year! Here machine was on its last leg so this worked out great! I love your test cabs! Beautiful work! Fran

You certainly did luck out with that one. It is a sweet machine and much nicer to use than your old one. The middle cab is not chilean lapis. I've cabbed that before. It is pretty soft whatever it is.

You can never have too many cabbing machines, especially if another cabber I know is moving in soon

You have a cabber moving in! I hope he/she doesn't have many clothes, I can't possibly share my 3" of closet space with them. lol
