This issue has been resolved to the best of my knowledge. I apologise publicly for any inconvenience or ill feelings this may have caused to anyone.
Thank you Troy for taking care of this
THE FIRST THING I NEED TO SAY IS: IF THIS SITUATION IS RECTIFIED, I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW IMMEDIATELY.
Early on this summer, I hooked an online friend up with buying a cabbing machine. I hooked her up with rocksndahead (troy) on here, and they began emailing back and forth to come to an agreement. After the original hook-up, I stepped out of it, letting them make their own deal, and come to their own agreement.
Apparently they did. When I first talked to Troy, he said 200.00 for the machine, he sold it to her for 300.00. Maybe that was for the shipping or something, I dont know, but I know for mine the shipping I paid was less than 40.00. That's flag #1, which I did not know about until early September.
On Sept. 7th, Wilma asked me if there was any possiblity I would try to contact Troy, and ask him to give me the delivery confirmation numbers for the rest of the machine. Apparently he mailed her the machine, but not the motor and belts. BUT, he SAID he mailed them 2 weeks prior to that, (august). I sent him a message on RTH doing just that. He has not logged in since Sept. 5th. A cple. weeks later I asked Sands if he would try sending him a message as well, maybe he would respond to him. She has emailed him numerous times asking him where the rest of the machine is, or delivery confirmation numbers, anything that would help her to find out what has happened to it. I have emailed him as well, in private email, telling him I would do just what I am doing today, if we did not hear from him.
This lady is just like me, living on unemployment, and was buying this machine for her brain injured 29 yr. old son. Maybe that makes no difference at all, but to me it does.
If this were a 15.00 box of rocks, I would never say a word, but this is 300.00, an incomplete machine which she will now have to find the rest of the parts for, and the money to buy them. She has already had to sell a kiln, and some other equipment, just to buy this from him, and I just feel like this is wrong.
Yes I realize he doesn't have that many posts...NOW...I just did not pay any attention to that in the beginning. I did tell her that MOST of the people on this forum are trust-worthy, not all, but MOST of them are, and she should decide for herself if she wanted to buy this machine or not.
Irregardless of all that, I dont want anyone else having this same problem, so I am posting this. I will be asking her to take pics of what she DID recieve, and post them on here, so we can maybe get some help with finding the rest of what she will need.
Please ....If you are gonna have a deal with someone on this forum, be careful......not everyone can be trusted.
I really hate having to post this, it's not in my nature to complain in public like this, but to protect everyone else, this is what has to be done.
Again, if he rectifies this situation, I will let everyone know right away....
Thanks,
Marie
