Jo: That video montage is fantastic! What a great time that was seeing everyone and all the new people, I would think that was the largest RTH gathering yet! It sure was great seeing everyone and laughing and having fun!

Jo that certainly was a great group of photos. I didn't realize you had taken that many pictures. It sure was as fun, as it always is when getting together RTHers.

haha john ;D...ya they do have them here in the southeast...but most Australian shepherds any where near here are breed for show quality dogs...and the asking price shows it...or from puppy mills which my wife will have no part of....so when she said she found one she liked from a working ranch in arizona....the only thing i thought about was quartzite ;D...i said buy it... without even looking at the puppy...i had rocks in my head ;D.
will be in phoenix around 11 am friday morning.....picking up puppy in tonopah...then not sure which way we are headed....maybe straight to quartzite.
anybody still near...chime in...cars do turn left and right....kev.

I made it back to Bakersfied WOOHOO I was afraid I wasn't gonna make it after rolling over that boulder. Turns out I just bent a couple of non-criticle bars and tore a rubber mount...at least that is what it looks like. Anyways, Quartzsite was a blast this year. Thank you everyone for your hospitality. It was great meeting everyone. Couldn't ask for a better bunch. I look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Greg there isn't much in the way of hotels in Quartzsite but Blythe CA is only about 20 minutes away. I know Mudshark stayed there.

Thanks Sheri, Chris, Tony F, Mary Ann and everyone else for putting on the potluck. And of course thanks to Ralph (for cutting the onions). Jo sure did a great job on the video too - even music! It was nice to meet everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed the potluck and the company. We would have loved to bring Jasper home with us, but we would have had to pull off a major heist to do this. Garry

Christopher, glad you made it home safely and in one piece (nothing dropping out of the bottom of the truck, LOL). Thank you so much for the "rock crumbs" from your truck. They will add lots of color to my travel tumble rough. Amber, I agree... It was great meeting new friends and seeing old friends. I told Greg he can use our couch if he wants it. Angie doesn't snore too loudly. Jo

Garry, you wear that desert pinstriping with honor, Dude. You earned it for coming out of there in one piece! I saw those scratches, I'd try buffing them out before a shelling out for a whole new paint job. Those behind you were grateful you cleared the brush for us. Jo

It was definitely a great potluck/BBQ and great times for sure. Glad you made it back ok Christopher, sounds like you got off lucky this time. Didn't Brent tell you not to drive a two wheel drive pickup through washes? LOL. Glad to meet all of you and visit with old friends. RTH'ers sure know how to laugh, party, and enjoy rocks. Sorry for those who couldn't make it but there's always next year.

The whole Q experience was great, and I sure had a good time, especially getting to drive two lovely young lady RTHers through the desert in a one ton truck. (no squishy springs) You can tell they enjoyed the ride from Jo's video with all the laughing. The only bad things I can think of, one, my wife was not able to come, and it is a long wait until next year. Woody

LOL, it was an experience of a lifetime, for sure. Woody said he was trying to go slow through the bumpy spots, but I secretly think he was trying to see if we were real rockhounds and wouldn't get bucked out of the truck! (jk Woody) I think Woody had enough emergency food and water in his truck to keep the whole group alive for a month should we get lost. Good thing he left some room for rocks! Jo

Aww, Woody, you are too sweet, especially putting up with one lady with a squirt bottle and the other talking your ears off ;-) Hope your wife will be able to come next year. It is indeed a long wait until then.
Jo, I think he was trying to see how high he could get us to bounce off the seat...lol.
