Hi Dora:). No, the arrows and extra jewelry pieces came from an Estate sale of a jewelry/rock person, and I shared some of the interesting things I bought:). They were small, and were all rock related (arrowheads, shells, crosses), so thought people might like them for charms while making one of the popular charm bunch necklaces. I'm glad you liked them:)!!
I want to note again, please don't be shy, you can take ANYTHING you want from the box that isn't marked for someone or has multiples for everyone (in that case, leave enough for the people after you). In the case of the CD, download it to your computer, and put the CD back in the box, so everyone can get a copy too.
But those 'for everyone' things are only a small % of what's in the box. If you see one of a kind type things, YOU CAN TAKE THEM!! You just have to put something in its place that the next person would like that's of comparable value, so everyone who gets the box will like it:). No one is limited to a handful of stuff, you can replace most of the box if you want to. Just make sure that the next person will like the box too:)!!
Pix are important, because it keeps everyone who hasn't gotten it yet excited about getting it, and lets us know what's going on, so please remember to post pix:)!!

The box got here! ...just as I had to leave for work (2nd shift). And do you know what has been going on for the last 8ish hours? My wife gets to go through the box WITHOUT ME! Then she calls me at work and says, "Wow, there's awesome stuff in here!" And I won't be out of here for another 2 hours...
THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!!

I just got home from work and have to be back in tomorrow also. Our plant is going 24/7 this month (not my department, but we need support the production area). Does anyone object to the box going out Monday? I already asked Helen, but I want to make sure everyone else is ok with it.
I did get pics of the box contents this morning, but that's about as far as I got. I'll post everything once I get the rest of the pics taken.
I'm butt tired. G'nite all!

Well Jon, life's tough sometimes, unpredictable things like that could happen to anyone. Take it easy and try to enjoy your limited time with the box! While we anxiously wait for the box photos, I'll like to take the opportunity to try get some info (name/location) for a couple of unidentified rocks I got from the box. I’m not sure if they were from Marinedad or from Diane. So I will really appreciate if the generous giver(s) of those beauties could enlighten me with their information! Here they are: unknown1 unknown2

Wow! Your guys/gals pictures are amazing! This is going to be a super fun round this year!!! Excited to get it at the end. Sorry I've been a bit absent. I am getting over pneumonia. 2nd time in my life that I've had it (last time was 18 years ago)..... started out as a simple cold but quickly turned into nasty stuff that kept me from walking up stairs or even to the mailbox. I've been on antibiotics and an inhaler along with other stuff and am feeling so much better now other than a little bit of residual lung rattling. Almost back to 100% though and it feels great sitting at my computer typing versus reading the forums in my bed on my phone!!!!

Hi Krystee! I’m glad that you’re almost a 100% well, as pneumonia is not something to be taken lightly, so try to take it easy until you’re totally well. Yes Krystee getting it at the end is a great way to get it, this box is getting better and better and all of you at the end of it will have a lot of fun getting these well-traveled rocks that had traveled and visited many RTH members all across the U.S.!
I got the box at the end of January as I’d previously calculated, time went really fast! The box went already to almost half of the group, so if everything goes well the box will be reaching its final destination sometime in March, not such a long time at all, so start getting ready for the box before it surprises you at your door! ;D

Ok! We somehow managed to pack nearly everything we wanted to into the LFRB. The key word there is NEARLY. We have a bag of snowflake obsidian tumble rough that we wanted to send as well (its in the pics I will post later), but there is NO WAY it will fit in the box now. If people still want me to send it, I can send a SFRB also, but I don't want to go down that road without clearing it with everyone else first. Plus Jim might have a conniption Pics to follow!

Very glad to see you on the forum and are feeling much better, Krystee! Hi, Dora, it looks kinda like Belvadee Jasper, sometimes called Belvadere? Jasper? I am really looking forward to seeing the goodies in the box!

Thanks for your help gingerkid, I'll check the Belvadee jasper ;D Jon, Helen hasn’t been around since Feb 1 (checked avatar info). My best advice is to try to send her a quick pm or follow her instructions in her last post to play by her rules. I really hope that she’s on vacation and not sick or with problems. Here is the important part of her last post: I want to note again, please don't be shy, you can take ANYTHING you want from the box that isn't marked for someone or has multiples for everyone (in that case, leave enough for the people after you). In the case of the CD, download it to your computer, and put the CD back in the box, so everyone can get a copy too. But those 'for everyone' things are only a small % of what's in the box. OK, here are pics!! ;D Starting with the original box contents: Contents of SFRB and non-rocks Slabs from Helen and Mark More slabs from Helen and from Diane Slabs from Dora and obsidian slabs from Helen At this point I realized I had better start cramming more stuff into the photos or there would end up being 75 or so... Stuff from Dora, Lowell, and Mark Stuff from everyone and their brother (can you tell I lost track?) Slabettes and small nodules More slabettes, laker/montana tumble mix, etc. And that concludes the original contents of the box! This is the stuff we took: And here is what we added: From left to right (almost all slabs) Top Row: Two unknown agates, brazilian, rhodonite slab/wedge 2nd Row: Small amethyst crystals, fancy jasper, graveyard point plume, unakite, wonderstone (or rainbow hickoryite?) 3rd Row: Sci-Fi/Exotica jasper, fossil coral, norbergite on calcite, pink calcite and franklinite (both NJ native slabs), flint ridge flint, mahogany obsidian, rose quartz 4th Row: Tiny fairy opal cab, solar flare jasper, malachite infused dolomite, green jade, black jade, montana agate with quartz ...And this stuff too... Left to right (mostly small rough and specimens) Top Row: Two Balmorhea agates, leopard skin jasper, serpentine, oregon carnelian, green tree agate, amazonite 2nd Row: Selenite tower (partial), franklinite and zincite on calcite for specimens or tumbling (about mohs 3, so be careful!), larger zincite/franklinite, unknown agate, green jade 3rd Row: Solar flare jasper tumble mix, peacock ore, prehnite from Patterson, NJ, unknown botryoidal specimen, malachite, ulexite (TV stone - super cool fiber optic effect!) At the bottom is the obsidian tumble mix that didn't make it. If anyone really wants it, let me know! I will post a pic of the packed box and tracking number tomorrow morning when this goes out. Thanks everyone!! Whoops, don't know why the pics are huge. Sorry!
