Hey folks, sorry for holding up the box. I was out at a business conference for a week and then came back and promptly picked up the flu that's been going around. Actually, I think Nathaniel brought it home, Andrew picked it up, Barbara got it and then I got home from my business trip ... and got sick ... Finally back up and running and had a chance to check the boards. I apologize on holding this up! Anyway, Mike, I PM'ed you my address just now. By the way, the boys and I are heading out tomorrow for a rockhounding trip. So, if anyone is interested in some agate/jasper from the Mojave desert area let me know. I'll pack individual boxes of the stuff and ship it out next week. I usually let them pick from a few locations I think will have easy access so they don't have to hike too much - I have to scale the hikes to Nathaniel who just turned six - which precludes anything really strenuous. After all, I'm the guy that gets to haul all the buckets of rock back to the truck . They do have a favorite area that I suspect they'll pick again - Yermo, just east of Calico Ghost Town near Barstow, CA. I think they like it simply because they can con Dad into going to Calico after rockhounding to get lunch and then take a train ride around Calico on the old mine train. Anyway, PM me if anyone wants some rough. I'll pack some boxes and ship. Thanks Paul

Yeah, back to the living at this point! About Tuesday evening, I found myself walking up to this really gaunt looking guy waiting by a boat on a riverbank. He introduced himself as Charon. Out of curiosity, I asked about getting to the other side and he quoted (what I felt) was an unreasonable price.
"You can go to hell," I said. "I'm going back to the office."
He looked at me a bit funny and said, "Already there, not sure what you're so worked up about."
We stared at each other for a moment and then burst out laughing, parting as friends.
Well, the flu may not have been as exciting as all that but I did feel like dying at one point. Then I was afraid I wouldn't die. You all know how that goes!
Thanks for waiting for me, Mike!
Paul

Great picks and adds. This box is traveling so fast. Can't wait. About germs getting on rocks. Cold and flu viruses don't fair well outside the body. Flu viruses last a little bit longer but both viruses last anywhere from a few seconds up to 48hrs on surfaces. Viruses do great Laminate surfaces but not so much on porus surfaces. I wasn't sure if you were concerned or having a laugh but it can be a reasonable concern around this season Sent from my SPH-D710 using proboards

:cheesy: No Lysol...nor did I lick any. After a thread Helen was posting a while back about "you never know who might have pee'd on rocks" she never licks rocks...since then I don't either!

Oh boy, I’d no idea. The only rocks I'm always tempted to lick are Halite, but never again! Nice goodies you put in Mike and nice packaging as well! ;D The box will reach its middle destination with Paul, then only 9 more members to get it!

Here is the shipping information: Confirmation Tracking # 9405 5036 9930 0314 8478 57
:2cents: Although in my experience these numbers don't do us much good with the USPS. Not like UPS or FED ex does.

Box arrived today. I guess I haven't been paying attention - the LFRB caught me off guard. I'll try and get it shipped out to the next person ASAP but please be patient. We've just done a huge re-org at work and I'm working for a new boss (great guy - we'll get along well) but we're both starting up a whole new office. Exciting but rather busy right now as well.
Thanks Paul

It started out as a MFRB (at least I think it did) take out what you want and put it back. Just pick up a MFRB from the post office. I think it is a good idea. You have kids right? Let them have some fun. Except for the cool glass stuff that is labeled for individual people it is all up for grabs. But the ones still on the list should have final say.
Just me voicing my thoughts.

Great Paul, congrats on the new position, and hope you like the box:)!!
Could you please try to shoot for Monday shipping out at the very latest? That's 5 days after receipt, and 3 days more than the 48 hours requested turn around for the swap. Just asking because there's 9 more people after you, so trying to keep the box moving. Thanks, and hope your kids have fun with the box too:)!!
