I'll have to look back in my ebay records. The rods came from one of the hobby stores. The discs came from another source, & the mineral squares can be found in many lapidary supply businesses. I just check to see who has a special on them.

Hey Don, totally off topic, but I just noticed that our mutual friend is now getting $169 for those display cabinets. Sold 5 of 'em for that. Wonder if all the parts come at that price?

Guess you call that inflation. I'm surprised that they're selling at that price. They're nice, but I sure wouldn't pay that for one.

I like your new TN's, jakesrocks! Your Utah sherry topaz freebie has very nice color! Your arsenopyrite specimen looks like the pyramids of Giza. Is the TN on a pedestal?

Yes Jan, the Arsenopyrite is mounted with that cursed hot glue to a tooth of a comb. I'll have to carefully remove the hot glue and remount it with mineral tac.

Taken with my old Kodak Z1285 in macro, on a tripod with 2 second delay. Not too shabby for that old relic of a camera.

Dang, what a superb schorl specimen! Awesome sphene! Do the sphene crystals have quartz druzy on them, jakesrocks? Had to look this one up. Very nice! Beautiful freebie! Enjoyed seeing your UV shot of your wernerite specimen. That's some killer 'yeller' in your uv shot. Don, I have a faceted gemstone of wernerite. It's a beauty and has lamellar tubes. search4gems.com/detail.asp?id=29310

jakesrocks, here's a link to the wernerite that I won. Taking pictures of gemstones is way outta my league. Opals are the worst. search4gems.com/detail.asp?id=29310 ETA: Don, please highlight, copy and paste the posted link into your browser's address bar so you may see the wernerite.
