Thanks for the UV pics those are cool. Is that gypsum / selenite piece the same as what some people call "Desert Rose"? I've got a couple that look similar but they're a dirty off-white not that pretty brown.

Wonderful fluorescent photographs, jakesrocks! I love the sphene xtal!! Thinking about buying the fluorescent kit that Mattatya recommended in the near future.

jakesrocks, I hope you'll repost your pics once you get your albums straightened out. Here's a couple of new TN's and a specimen I recently acquired. Josephinite "Awaruite is also known as josephinite, a rare nickle-iron rock, in an occurrence in Josephine County, Oregon where it is found as placer nuggets in stream channels and masses in serpentinized portions of the Josephine peridotite. Some nuggets contain andradite garnet." Source: wikipedia Will have to check it out under magnification to see if there's any andradite garnet in it. Viridine from New Mexico. It is manganandalusite, a bright green variety of Andalusite, containing iron and manganese. Well, cannot see the viridine in my pics. Blue xtals of Graves Mountain (Lincolnton, GA) lazulite on quartz The Graves Mountain lazulite was an awesome freebie from @rocks2dust. Thank You, R2D!
