Dee I'm thrilled you like the wrap and honored that you wore it out last night! Tom's green moss was a super stone to work with. I look forward to seeing what you create next!

WOW! Brian, that is a great wrap! I love the little swirls at each side holding it in, I've seen a couple other wrappers do this and I always love the effect And such great cabs for you to work with Dee!!! I'm so excited that the roaming wire will round back to me next!!!! I can't wait to see what you make Dee!!!! Krista

Love the subtle framing on the wrap-what hardness/ga do you use to get your spirals so sturdy?

Oh, sorry, this is a bit of a detour, but since a lot of you cut stones and I don't- any suggestions on how to go about drilling a hole in a (very) large ammonite fossil? I bought a damaged and patched pair last year with the idea of drilling out the patched center of one to turn it into a clock. But I still haven't been brave enough to try it!

Hi Magpie! I don't know the hardness of the wire I used.. they are square ss 22 gauge, round ss 24 gauge and round ss 18 gauge. I haven't drilled a hole completely through a cab before so I'm afraid I can't help there either. I believe a diamond bit with the cab in shallow water is the process.

Thanks beefjello! I'll have to give that reverse spiral a try sometimes, mine never seem sturdy enough on their own when I put them that close together. *scratches head*

Oh my goodness!!! I'm sorry everyone that you had to wait so long for me to post! It's been a hectic time for me as I've been traveling AND sick, which I hope I didn't give any of my family this awful cold, it refuses to go away! To the point though! I got such an amazing box from Dee, I was so excited when I got it and showed everyone I was visiting this amazing piece she wrapped! Dee it's so beautiful thank you so much for making something so special!!!! I truly love it!! Here's the spectacular wrap: And here's the haul of cabochons!!!! I'm super excited about the little green agate, it and all of them are so much better in person!!! Thank you everyone for participating!! I think I'm going to put the next roaming wire off until January, I know everyone is busy with the Holidays and I'd like to try and recoup a bit before making lists and such. I hope that's okay with everyone! I'll make a new post at the beginning of next month! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!! Krista

Whew! You had me worried when you didn't post Krista! I'm so glad you liked the wrap.
Thanks everyone, for the nice comments.
Yes, Beef, those are tourmaline crystals. Your cab called right away to me!
Thank you again Krista for running another Roaming Wire. This one really sped by! I so enjoy what everyone does here.

Wow, that is an awesome wrap. I love the tourmaline accents. How did you learn to wrap like that? I can never manage to keep that many wires under control at once!
