if he settles on a price I can afford, I'd like a big blocky piece.
My best wishes to your friend. I lost a friend to brain cancer. She, thankfully, had the same opportunity to get her affairs in order.
RIP Sandy, I think of you often.

It depends on the venue, how eager he is to sell, and how hard he is willing and can work at it. Garage sale - he would be lucky to get $1.00 a pound. Putting select pieces up on eBay or such - $3.00 to $10.00 a pound. Selling in bulk to a reseller - ??, just find one who will offer a fair price, but it will be lower than garage sale prices, but will give the best price to effort ratio.

That is nice stuff. Don't know about pricing though. I know most obsidian does not go for much, but being something that you don't see often on the market I would expect that you could get a higher price than the more common obsidians.
By the way, a brain tumor is not necessarily a death sentence. Brain tumors are viral in origin and can be successfully treated with antivirals and especially ozone therapy through ear insufflation. If he wants more information PM me and I will send you some links with more detailed explanations on cancer and ozone. He can find inexpensive ozone units on the internet that will work since the application is external. Internal you need cold corona units, which are more expensive and hard to find, and an oxygen source.

He has been to the doctors, and they said nothing they can do, this tumor is 6 Oz. myself and another friend is helping him sell off his rock. going to post the date of the sale on la rocks. Most of the rocks is going for .50 a pound. Allopathic medicine cannot do anything. Ozone, which is a holistic therapy can still shrink and destroy the tumor regardless of the size as long as the person is still living. Ozone selectively destroys cancer cells at therapeutic levels without harming healthy cells. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7403859vThe only thing he would have to be really careful about is the immune system is going to try and remove the dead cellular debris, which will lead to some inflammation. Since the skull cannot expand this can put additional pressure on the brain. To avoid this he needs to space out his treatments a little more than for other cancers to give time for removal of the smaller amounts of cellular debris rather than creating large amounts of cellular debris at once. Allopathic medicine also does not address the viral aspects of cancer. In fact, they hardly mention the viral aspects of most cancers despite our knowing about cancer viruses for over 100 years. To admit knowing causes means admitting to more cures that would put a lot of people out of business. For example, I was banned from the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society message boards and all my posts erased simply for posting medical journal articles proving the link between viruses and leukemias and lymphomas. If people knew that these cancers were viral then they would know that they could use antivirals to cure themselves and the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would have no reason to exist anymore. As for the stone, I would be interested in some of the green obsidian in particular. Any chance you could ship?

Brain tumors are viral in origin I know there is some discussion in the medical journals about viral causes, but genetic mutations/deletions and other inheritable diseases are definitely other causes. And there are also some environmental causes. So sorry about your friend and I hope his time left is blessed and wonderful. Good on you for helping him.

Hey Dan, how much of the green do you think you could pack in a medium FRB ? I'd love to have some of that. PM me a price, shipping included, and info for paying by paypal.
Got a cousin going through Chemo right now. She hasn't said anything, but 2 days ago I got a box of family heirlooms in the mail from her. Things don't look good.

Al cancers are genetic since they involve changes in the genetic coding of the cells, but this does not make them hereditary. The only cancer that has shown some evidence of possibly being hereditary is infantile retinoblastoma since the child is born with this cancer. When you are born with a truly hereditary condition you have will have the symptoms from that hereditary condition from infancy, not 30, 40, 50+ years later. The mutations and deletions you are referring to are almost always due to oncoviruses (cancer causing viruses). These viruses insert their own genetic material in to healthy cells creating the mutations that cause the cell to be become cancerous. IN fact, every oncogene that has been found has been found to be viral. No human oncogenes have ever been found. Some of these oncoviruses have bee found to not work alone but instead require a secondly virus to work with it to induce carcinogenesis. The only known cause of genetic mutations from non-microbial sources that can lead to carcinogenesis is from radiation induced damage. And even there it is possible that viruses play a role in some cancers. For example, it is commonly claimed that sunlight, a form of radiation causes cancer. This is not quite true. Human papilloma virus causes skin cancer. Sunlight's role is the activation of the human papilloma virus in the skin. Otherwise, sunlight elevates vitamin D levels, which not only boosts the immune system but also has strong anti-cancer properties. As for environmental causes there are few that do not involve microbes. For example, naturally occurring radon gas can induce cancer most likely on its own accord through genetic damage. But environmental xenoestrogens such as dioxins and DDT and even other estrogens for that matter and progesterone do not cause cancer on their own. Estrogenic substances and progesterone both activate cancer viruses, which helps explain in part why everyone does not have cancer since everyone has estrogen and progesterone and we are all exposed to environmental xenoestrogens on a daily basis from various sources such as plastics. All of what I just said can be easily verified from medical journal articles that can be found on Medline.
