We are still running Ohio flint ridge material from our trip back on fathers day. I think we have over 20 pounds of this finished now. Flint There's quite a bit of these with little druzy pockets And these mixed rocks went along for the ride Thanks for looking Chuck

I ran a little of that with the coral Chuck. It holds it's own in the hardness department. It is so varied. And a world famous material.

Great shapes & shine, & since you & your sons collected it - "priceless."

What a nice batch of that colorful flint! Too bad I'm over a thousand miles away!Would love to go there and collect, but probably not in the cards.Got a good supply of it from trades and purchases though, may have to crank out a batch this winter!

YUP! I'm amazed at the variety of colours and patterns in the Ohio Flint. I've had the pleasure of working some before and it looked quite different from what you found.
The field trip photos from your linked post made it look like an easy hunt and there still appears to be a lot left. definitely a location that I will have to add to my Rockhound's Bucket List.

Thats an awesome polish! Flint Ridge is so fun to work because you never know what shapes, colors and patterns are going to be in there and the crystal pockets are a real bonus. My son and I go down to the Nethers Farm about 3 times a year to get materials to knap for points and arrowheads. I like the fact that the surface hunting is just as good as the digging. If you can make the trip it is well worth it for the price of material.
