Average a litter of 8-10 about every year. not a lot. Never were a puppy mill and stayed way far from it Jim. But the dogs we had were top quality and great personality.

Those Catahoulas are a cool dog Mel. The hog hunters use them in appalachia and they are a lot of fun to go thru the woods with. I handled groups of 3-5 of them for my hog hunter friends when i could cover the distance. They were friendly and tractable and rarely chased over a half mile unlike plots and ticks that would just keep going. And they were clever about not getting too aggressive and getting hurt but managed to work as a team and catch the toughest hogs. They were the most variable dog breed i have ever seen. But every one of them looked like he had about 1/4 pit bull in him and played the role.
I am tickled that you have rescued a Ridgeback Snuffy. He looks like he has been hungry for a while. Does he still have his balls or is he neutered ? There is a lot of back yard breeders in Texas and Florida that anger us due to the conditions they breed them in. Warm weather allows puppy mills to do their mass production thing.

They are not real common Snuffy. Best kept that way so the breeders will not mass produce them.

Check out this over weight male messing w/a badger Snuffy. He needs to cut about 20 pounds so he can move freely. He is having a great time though.

Jim, thanks for the party pics. Those parties are a touch of genius (IQ 110,049) much fun, networking n the dog world, makes your pups easy to sell.
I do spy one white non-comformist canine in the group. Is it a white shepard? I like the dogs with racing stripes

Yeah, I have a friend that just got a Catahoula pup. Cutest pup ever! Unfortunately, this is a fancier home than our California places were and my wife ain't having any house dogs and I like my doggies to come inside with me. So, so far we are at an impasse. Guess I'll have to stick with playing with horses for awhile....Mel

Get a dog on loan for the weekend and you can melt her down Mel.
That is a white shepard Scott and she spent the whole time herding the ridgebacks. Too funny.

Mel - maybe a compromise?
Puppy sleeps indoors in a crate? This gets him in the house and ready to cuddle with.
Or
Just get the puppy under the pretense he stays outside. Your bride will melt and he'll be inside soon enough. No?

The vinyl needs replacing. The brick seems to look better w/age. Live and learn. A little more up front but well worth the long term.
