We just got another foot of snow...the storm is about through now. We often don't plant potatoes till 4th of july and they do as well as planting the middle to the end of may. Great pics keep them coming so I know maybe we'll get spring by the 1st of june!

Well, I have no plums yet. But the Santa Rosa improved did flower very early for here. The regular santa rosa just started to leaf and no flowers and the Indian Peach hasn't even started to leaf out yet!
See my olive tree thread for what appears to be a big harvest of home cured olives.

Nice to see, but a little frustrating. We will plant our first stuff tomorrow morning, peas and spuds, too early for more tender things. Thanks for showing.

I hope the cold is not going to get you Snuffy. I think you are too south. I think the north half of Texas is getting ready for a frost. No doubt the frost is hitting Atlanta Wed. morn and will be up at 4AM spraying water on the plants to protect them.
Your garden is so far along. I have been buying water lilies out of College Station for years and am amazed at their early plants. Water lilies grow so well there that Texas tried to out law them.
Your last frost date must be early March.

Gonna be close,37 is the lowest forecast I have seen. But here in the country we are always a few degrees colder.Possible frost,my hoses are ready to spray them down, probably cover lots of it with plastic.I gamble with the early planting every year, most of the time win,but have lost some too! Good luck, this should be the last go round this spring. snuffy

Good luck. If it is forecasted to be 42F in Atlanta, it can be 30F at my place 20 miles south of Atlanta on a calm clear night. Windy days and cloudy days there is no difference from Atlanta. Amazing how the city is so much warmer. Typically a frost will occur here if Atlanta forecast is up to 45F on calm clear night. Hope it doesn't get you.
