Sorry for you Brad. That is the worst day around here. Makes me cry like a baby. My worker lost his dog 2 months ago and wanted to bury him here. We dug and cried like babies. And he is one tough customer. That dog kicked his ass. I can tell that she is very healthy for 14 years. So she had the best life. That's all you can do.

BLURRY - sorry. He goes all submissive when he sees a camera or a cell phone pointed at him. I present Hobo the wonderdog.

That's him. That is a cool looking dog. Funny that he is not into being photographed. I caught a coon on a dog proof leg trap this morning. Only had the 270 close by. It vaporized it. Stick a marshmallow behind the trip and the coon reaches in and tries to pull it out. That is a wild ass critter. Kept 3 big hounds off w/3 legs.

when I found Hobo in the park I thought at first that he was a baby coyote. But no black tail tip. Hmm.. friendly pup, 6'sh months old. Jumps in my car. That was July 2004. Been here ever since. 2018-2020 is his expiration date. It's gonna torque us all.
Racoons are bad@ss!! What trap do is that? Our local long tailed weasel is a spectacular beast. I may make some traps for them. Live traps....

that dog of mine didn't have any mercy with the raccoons. Killed them with a chomp to the stomach. Felt bad for the poor things but I couldnt stop her when she was locked on to a coon on the ground. Beagle Lab mix. She would go out into the farmers field and dig up the mice all the time. That was like her hobby in the afternoon.
Als with mole trails in the yard she could pin point the freshing spot where the mole was. Id kick a spot with my foot she'd run to it and if it wasn't a hot trail she wouldn't touch it. If it was right spot she'd dig and bury her nose in the ground and snort getting the scent. Pretty wild.

I have seen one bail out of the tree and flat whip 3 full grown coon hounds, and we ain't talking about no ChiWeenie here either! Redbones and Blueticks if I recall correctly

They are incredible. Bull dogs tackle them and crush them w/their jaws. Hounds make the mistake of face fighting w/them. bad idea. They are so fast. Their speed is their strength.

yeah I just had to put my dog down a few weeks ago. 14 years she was my shadow. Couldn't even go to the bathroom without her walking in. Best dog ever. Loved the woods and water. This pic was taken not too long before had to put her down. Just got a bath and nails done. Just spend like 50 bucks on dog food and another 20 or so on pills. That sucked.lol At least she was clean when she went. Got her a nice spot in the ground. Brad, so sorry for your loss. I put my last dog, Cricket , down about a year ago. She had been diagnosed with renal failure in October 2012, lasted another six months to just before Easter 2013. Just one more left, Lucy, she's almost 8 1/2. Enjoy and love them while you can. I've lost four cats and five dogs in my lifetime, it doesn't get any easier...

Too cute! Looks like they doubled in size already. You don't know how bad this post makes me want a dog. Unfortunately, I live in such a small space with no yard to speak of- it would be cruel to have a big dog like I want. It's cats for me now.

Exercise. you can walk them Tela ! These need a lot of exercise. Best to be a marathon runner. I get Mama to chase the ATV about a mile so she will come in and crash into milk market mode. The pups take advantage of her when she rests. That's cheating. The one cat completely dominates the 3 big dogs.

James, thanks for the puppy pic. I can almost hear the contented puppy noises while they suckle on mom. So, they are all doing well?

James, thanks for the puppy pic. I can almost hear the contented puppy noises while they suckle on mom. So, they are all doing well? When it is hot they spread out and are quiet. When cold they are in a bundle and whimpering. when feeding they make nookie sounds. They are a quiet lot. Mama has been a charm and is careful not to lay on them. A common killer of pups. They are about strong enough to be left alone at 6 days.

Thanks, Scott. I'd like to take credit for that, but I think James coined it last go round.
C'mon, James. A couple pics and one sentence? You call that a pupdate? Are you busy or something? How are they all doing? Are their eyes open yet? How's mama Maggot doing? Communicate, man!
