James, with all that heat being generated, is there a way to make a grilling surface . Realize that most of the heat is up high, but figure you can figure out something. Maybe you are on to the next George Foreman Grill. I read that he was making up to $8 million a WEEK on that one.

They will work with the turbo pit but you got to remove the upside down bowl. The fire is a bit high in speed to cook on. Too much fast flame. It is just for effect, high heat, and smoke removal Mark. I may make it hinged so it can be lifted to the side via long handle.

You could use your pot hanger to position a crucible and melt a bunch of aluminum. That then poured into a fire ant nest makes some pretty neat art.

George Foreman grill - chicken breast from frozen to perfectly cooked in 12 minutes. The genius was licensing his name to sell the product! That dude is a salesman! haha

if you clean the metal of the turbo section, then apply some peanut oil could you slap down some chicken and cook directly on the surface?
Pizza?

Where do you get the metal for the turbo? 39don They are ends of tanks Don. They are slightly defective for holding pressure. So they are rejects. I am in a group that keeps them bought up so the manufacturer will not remelt them.

The fire pits cook good. Put a bucket of sand in the bottom and bury your veggies wrapped in foil. Cook the meat above in the flame. Wife tried cooking marshmallows and dropped most in the fire. I tried to tell her not to cook....on the 'TURBO'. And I am telling you the same Scott-do not cook.....on the 'TURBO'.

Tandoor properly wood fired = 1100oF!! So hot mesquite coals leave no mesquite flavor, it's all burned off.

I set up a 36 inch pit w/a higher 30 inch bowl inverted. Will be interested to see if it roars. Guessing so.

The Tandoor is the bbq of India. Go to a indian restaurant in your area, order "butter chicken and garlic naan". You will thank me afterwords. I dont know how close to you this is, but naanstop.com/ came highly recommended.

Not sure how anyone handles heat, but be careful of any dish that has "kadai" or "jalfrezi" in the name. One of my favorite Indian restaurants here has paneer kadai. Should have been called paneer I'm-gonna-die.

My husband misses his west coast food options and made an Ethiopian spread for us all last summer. I loved it but the kids all thought it looked like baby food.
